Funny Animals: Grayscale Coloring book Paperback – July 19, 2016

I am in awe of Alena Lazareva's newest book, Funny Animals: Grayscale Edition!I love the fact that all of the pictures in this book is a step outside of her normal enchanting fairies, mermaids, and mythology characters. This book is filled with one precious animal or cartoon type animal, after another!No matter if you are an adult, child, or simply young at heart, this book is suited for everyone!The grayscale is perfect, not to light and not to dark. The paper quality accepts pretty much all mediums perfectly, but as always place card stock or a few sheets of paper underneath for any bleed through. Even though the pages are not perfed, they are easily removable with an Xacto knife or something sharp.One of the great things I love about this book in particular is that it is great for any artistic level and age group! Even if you are an advanced colorist, all the pictures are challenging enough, and yet still suitable for a beginner. Alena just keeps on supriseing me with each and every book she puts out!*I did NOT receive this book free or at a discount! Just an artist trying to pass on helpful info to other artists out here! As always Alena did it again. This is a great book and I love it. It is not realistic animals though they are note of a cartoon variety. But it's fun when you want to do something fun and not real estate one costuming. This book is great for any colorist as the pictures are not overly detailed. I am very happy with my purchas. I really love grey scale pictures. And this is different then all the others I am really happy with this purchase. And I love all her books I'm a huge fan of her work . If you like grey scale and want if fervent type of book I would get this.If you buy this I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Happy coloring..

Never having colored one of these types of color books, I was quite surprised when I got it. After using pencils, pens and markers, I have come to the conclusion these are better done with markers and outlined with pens. Glitter pens. Smaller areas can be done in pens or pencils, but markers do the best. I will be looking for more of these greyscale coloring books. Very adorable book and pictures turn out well. Cheap paper though.

What a fun book! I love that these pictures are all about cute, funny animals and are not full of design. They are perfect for just fun coloring but can be made as challenging or simple as you want to make them. This is my go to happy book when I just want to color and not have to think or worry about a large color scheme and intricate details.

This book is really fun. there a lot of cute and whimsical animals in it. Sure to be a fav of my nieces and nephew. I am sure there will be hoours of coloring time with this book. Highly recommend for the young and younf at heart that love animals

Cute book. Had never had a grey scale book before, so I was not sure how I would like it. The grey adds a different look and depth to the pictures, and I really like it. Really fun pictures, very unique.

This book is one of the best animal ones I have bought. I have joined a Colouring group and after spending many hours doing very intricate and detailed colouring in animal books. I just wanted something that was a bit easier for a break and a bit more fun. Well I have certainly got all that. The pictures in this book are brilliant. Very funny and not too detailed. I am really enjoying colouring these. And turning the pictures into how I want them to be. And its just so much fun colouring such comical and great looking animals. Each time I send them into the group I really do receive some lovely comments about them. And everybody says how funny and what fun they are. For somebody who does alot of intricate and detailed colouring who just wants a break from it now and again by colouring something funny and jolly I would highly recommend this book to you. It really is worth buying. And the pictures are very funny too. I love colouring these and always end up laughing about them. Alena really has exceeded herself with these gorgeous illustrations that may be to some a little simple. But to me are just great fun and quite quirky. Its a brilliant book and I highly recommend it.
