Great item especially for vegetables.
This slicer is a little bigger than I anticipated but still stores easily. I am always creating something new and prefer to make several things at once due to the prep time and having things available. Over the years, I've had some scary experiences using mandoline slicers, so I thought I would try something more like this. It is powerful! The instructions are not necessarily straightforward, but it's pretty easy to figure out. Assembly for meat grinding is different than for slicing vegetables and with different parts. Make sure you look at everything first before trying to put it together.Everything has to fit in the feeder for the slicer to work. Some veggies have to be cut down to fit. They come out quickly, so make sure you have a large enough container for them to land in. It's a powerful machine, so make sure you follow safety protocol. I am happy with how the veggies slice and come out of the machine. It does cut prep time down, but make sure you pay attention when you use it. Some softer vegetables can get caught when slicing, but it's easy to get them out.The machine was easy to take apart and clean. I recommend this item. I don't know how the meat grinding works just yet, but vegetables are great.

Works surprisingly well as a meat grinder and sausage stuffer
The media could not be loaded. I got this because of its multi-function ability - I really wanted to use it as a food processor to slice and grate vegetables. In that regard, it was only partially successful. But since I'd already wanted to try my hand at sausage-making, this gave me an opportunity to give it a go. For that, I was very pleased.PROs====Grinds meatSeveral grind levelsStuffs sausageCONs====Buttons are awkwardly placed for meA bit difficult to get the slicer/grater attachment onKind of loud (but really not any louder than a blender)Not great for slicing or grating vegetablesThe first thing I tried was slicing some zucchini and yellow squash using the food processor attachment. I found it very difficult to hook up that attachment. The locking wheel was tricky to figure out and the shaft of the motor had to be in exactly the right spot. Once I figured that out, it was much easier the 2nd and 3rd times, so be prepared for a few minutes of frustration and then it'll be fine.I used the slicer to cut the zucchini, and while I got nice slices, I found them a bit thin. There was no option to adjust this. In addition, the squash was too soft to really work out well. The biggest issue was that the slices didn't come pouring out like I expected. Instead, they gummed up inside the cutting unit and I ended up having to use a knife to "tease" them out while feeding more pieces into the hopper. I had exactly the same issue with potatoes (see picture) and the beets and apples that went through the grater. In all cases, they just kind of "stuck". The potatoes did come out very nice and I tossed them in the air fryer to make good chips.Next, I tried grinding some meat. I took a piece of chuck roast and cut it into small pieces, then fed it into the meat grinder attachment. I was experimenting so I tried all three different grinder sizes. The small and medium were great, and even the coarse grind came out good, though I would have preferred a coarser grind for making chili. (See photos and video.) I was very pleased with the grinding process, and everything came out nice. Finally, I got really energetic and made beef sausage. The sausage stuffer only has one size, which is fine for dinner sausage but if you want to do the smaller breakfast links this isn't the one for you. The first grind went very well, but the second and third were less successful but still adequate. (When the recipes tell you to make sure the meat is COLD, they mean it.) I was able to thread the casings onto the stuffer fairly easily for a first-timer; the second casing was much easier. The stuffing process went well but it's really a two-person job - one to guide the sausage itself and another to feed the filling into the hopper. You can see the results in the photos - remember, this was my first ever attempt at sausage making, and while I can tell you that you really DON'T want to see how the sausage is made, if you insist on doing it yourself it's not that difficult. The grinder worked generally well. For me, a right-handed user, the control buttons ended up on the back side of the machine, which wasn't ideal but not a big issue either. I ran several pounds of meat through the system and it held up well. The warmer meat seemed to stick a bit, so keep everything REALLY COLD. I found that the "pusher" (used to feed the meat into the grinder safely) got very greasy and I had a hard time holding it - some extra roughness there would have helped the grip. Also, the sausage mixture seemed to gum up in the shaft and I had a hard time feeding it well. Keep everything cold!I found the grinder to be a bit loud in operation, so if you're planning to surprise someone with fresh sausage you're going to have to think of a distraction. The motor unit was mostly stable, but did have a tendency to tip a bit - not really a problem, just pay attention.Cleanup was pretty simple. Everything detached easily for the most part. I had a bit of trouble taking the meat tray off the grinder at first - it was just a really tight fit - but then it was fine the second time. You'll want a long-handled round brush so you can clean out inside the attachments but that was really the only hard part. Even after grating the beets, there was no discoloration left behind. There was some "wastage" during the grinding and stuffing process. Not all of the meat fed through the system, so I think I lost around 4 ounces of meat during the stuffing process. Some pieces of fat didn't grind well and wrapped up in the cutter, but that wasn't a huge issue, just something to deal with during cleaning. The cutter blade started out sharp but I can't say how long it will last. I expect many solid uses. The instructions that come with the unit are awful - the pictures are far too small and it's hard to see what pieces go where and in what order/orientation - but in general it's simple enough that you can figure it out. There's storage space in the back of the unit for some of the attachments, but not all, which is clumsy. The grinding plates swapped out easily and the grinder unit is made of decent metal that seems like it will stand up to some solid use.All in all, it is effective at grinding meat and stuffing sausage, but don't get it because of the slicer/grinder attachment; there are better alternatives for that.

Stopped working during first use
I was using this to grate some things for our Christmas Eve dinner and it stopped turning after about 5 minutes of use. Thankfully I have a manual rotary one so I was still able to get things grated fairly quickly. This is not good for anything except as a hundred dollar paperweight.

Looks great
Haven't used this just yet, but it's made nice and sturdy. Has different options on what you can do and use. I will update once I've used it more
