It was just what I needed.
This simply works the way I want it to either using the USB-C connector or the 3.5mm connector (you just detach the USB-C connector, which does forgo the on-cord volume controls and mute button) on a MacBook Pro or an Asus Windows 10 Pro laptop or my Motorola X4 cellphone. It's comfortable enough to wear 4-6 hours every day. Other people can hear me, I can hear them, and since my other ear is uncovered, I still exist in the house. It's equally effective worn on my left ear (preferred) as on my right. Plus, the way it lies flat makes it easy to hang on a command-strip hook I stuck to the back of my monitor for the times when I'm not on a call.
