Solid laptop riser, lifts the laptop just high enough to allow for ventilation and prevent overheating. Material is strong, zero flexibility. Dimensions according to my ruler are 2 1/4" high by 10 3/8' in width. The hooks in the front are padded with silicone as are the legs, and they hold my 13" Lenovo Yoga securely in place. Usually you can't type on risers that are adjustable in height because the whole thing jumps and wobbles, but this one doesn't since its front sits on the desk. Angle is comfortable enough for typing. They didn't enclose instructions on how to assemble this, but it is pretty much self explanatory. Just be sure to put the crossbar INSIDE the side bars,, the outer area will sink the screws flat into the metal. Look at the pictures in the description. Comes with an extra screw and a small hex driver to screw them in.

Unfortunately, the stand I received is lopsided. I think the machined screw holes were not level with each other on both sides, creating the problem. Not great quality control, in my opinion. However, I really do like this stand, as the metal is nice and a good color, the design is good and easy to assemble. I will be returning it for replacement, which Amazon is happy to do. Hopefully the replacement stand will be square and level on each side at the front: both front pieces touching the table-top, next time. Will update my review once I have received and assembled the replacement. UPDATE: The replacement stand still isn't 100% perfect on one side, but really it's the best stand I think I could have gotten aside from that, and I'm going to keep for being that attractive, aesthetically, and low profile. Love it as it does what it's supposed to and when the laptop is sitting on it, it's little extra tiny bit of weight does hold it down level without any wobble. RECOMMEND

Quick build, very sturdy, and it does it's job and allows my laptop to vent.

I've owned 2 of these for over 2.5 years and they work well. The stand doesn't collapse, but that makes it much more stable than a foldable model. My only complaint is that it's difficult to carry the stand with the laptop already on top. It would be nice if there were a second bar across the bottom just to aid with carrying. After 2.5 years, the rubberized coating is starting to wear little bit. It's a great value for $11.

I work from home. Upon the package arrival, I immediately assembled easily, and put it right under my desktop. You don't need fancy, and it does what you need it to do. I got the chrome, which blends in, but you don't see it anyway.
