Washers completely useless unless you have very small bars (good for most cages I assume). If, however, you're not placing it in a cage or your cage bars are too big, the issue with the crappy washers and wing nuts is easily rectified by using cheap strong cable ties. Theh fit through the provided holes fine even though they are the thick extra strong ones. I tied it to the play pen and it has been such a relief to not worry about soiled wasted hay flying all over the place. My rabbits are quite small and it's sufficient enough for them both to feed comfortably.If I'd bought new washers and wings nuts for the bars it would have set me back quite a bit (the prices for bigger versions are extortionate). If cable ties are used by the police I have faith in the strength of them being able to withstand the weight of my rabbits should they climb on top.So happy with this product, 10/10.

Excellent product!!! So easy to attach to our guineas cage! Very sturdy and holds on well! Not fallen off at all :) guineas absolutely love it and gets them standing up for some exercise to get their hay! Keeps Eating hay sooo much cleaner and nicer for guineas. Product is worth the price :)

I am very pleased with this hayfeeder. It holds a lot of hay, it’s safe for my guinea pig to chew on, 2 guinea pigs can feed from it at the same time if need be, and it looks nice and matches the wooden hut I have in the cage. My first hay feeder was plastic & had a spring controlled mechanism to hold in any uneaten hay, preventing it from falling on the floor. However, it seemed a bit laborious for my guinea pig to pull out the hay, and I noticed he ate a lot more hay when I left a big bunch of it free on the floor. Problem is, hay on the cage floor gets soiled & hence thrown out & wasted. This feeder was a nice compromise. The hay he’s not eating stays in & thus clean, but at the same time, he can easily pull out the strands he wants, or lean over the edge & eat right out of the feeder. He started eating from it as soon as I put it in the cage. The only downside I can see is if it get soiled, it’s a bit harder to clean being wood instead of plastic. Also, the bolts that came with the feeder, were useless to attach it to my cage because the bar spacing of my cage was too wide. I winded up getting hooks put on it so now I can easily lift it in and out whenever I need to. My cage is a 4 foot Midwest cage, 2 feet deep, and my guinea pig is quite big as well, just to give perspective on how big the feeder looks in that space. I do recommend it, especially if you have 2 guinea pigs or other small animals.

I've been using a metal hay thingy for my chinchillas and it's empty in a matter of minutes no matter how much hay i stuff in it. This hay bin is great! Its big and long and 2 days later still hay in it. Instead of hay falling in the catch pan it stays in this bin. Absolutely love. Highly recommend

It hangs next to the litter box. The buns use it, however they also like to sit in it, which I did not anticipate. I guess it’s wide enough for small rabbits to do that.It’s hung easily, is of good quality. I would recommend this hay feeder.
