Q: Can you install this as a temporary fence to keep a toddler in a yard if you cement the poles in the ground? Or is it just for pools?

It would work to keep a toddler contained and it is easy to pull up and store when your not using it. I installed mine myself with a hammer still relatively easy, and I use it to separate my yard from my pool to keep my 7 year old from falling in.

Q: Can I place the poles in the same holes that are drilled for my winter cover?

You can not put the poles for the fence in the pool cover holes, since they are different shapes

Hi guys just the female inserts that go into ground and hook that locks fence together

Q: Do you need to have a gate with one of these or can you just wrap fencing all around the pool?

You don't need a gate. But you do need to buy a 13mm drill bit. It is slightly larger than the fence post. Drill out the hole after hammering the anchor into the concrete. This will allow you to remove the section easily. I had the fence up for a year and never missed having a gate.
