I recently heard a lot of buzz about the watermelon slicer on TV. It looked so easy and effortless to use. One scoop will create a perfect slice of watermelon. I decided to give this gadget a try.The watermelon slicer is made out of stainless steel. It is non corrosive and is dishwasher safe. It is not a very sharp gadget, so it is safe for anyone to use.The slicer arrived just in time for my Fourth of July party. My thoughts of this product are the following. This gadget seems like a great concept, it does technically work and is fully functional. I just don't particularly care for this product. I found it very difficult to maneuver into the watermelon half. I didn't get a nice clean perfect slice that could be lifted from the watermelon. My pieces were more like chunks. I personally felt that it took twice as long to use. I would have rather just used a regular knife to cut the watermelon into slices. For me, this gadget wasn't my favorite and it was not convenient for me to use.I received this product for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Surprisingly, this watermelon slicer works great! It's simple to hold and use. Just cut the watermelon in half and use the blade on the thin side of the slicer to run along the flesh of the fruit cutting in rows down the watermelon. I brought this tool with me on a recent trip with friends and they thought it was so fabulous, they're going to purchase one as well! One of my friends had the great idea to run the slicer one way on the watermelon then the opposite side to create cubes. Once it was all cut, we just either kept the cubes in the half of watermelon or dumped them in a bowl. It honestly took a matter of a minute to slice up the watermelon which used to take forever! Really great tool and reasonably priced.

What a wonderful product! I got two for our Memorial Weekend gathering, and they worked perfectly. All my guests were impressed by the easiness of how it worked, and how kid friendly they were. Highly recommended, this is a must buy!
