I have read many editions of this book over the years. I almost didn't buy this one because I have two others at home. What swayed me were the amazing illustrations. The illustrations are well done, but quite funny in their own right. They really add something to the story. The book itself is well constructed and is worth the price.

Very spectacular and philosophical.

Great book for people that like wit and have imagination. The illustrations in this edition make it a truly special 42 anniversary. I’m enjoying reading this classic. Can’t wait for the four other books in the trilogy (told in five parts) to be given this treatment by Chris Riddell.
