Q: Coty has changed the formula, new Emeraude, with new packaging, is not the same but is all that is available in the stores. Is this the older one.

You merely need to do your own research. Coty was owned by the Coty family up until 1963 when it was then acquired by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer. Pfizer reformulated it, then sold Emeraude to another company in the early 1990s, when it was reformulated once again. If you want to have the original (vintage) Emeraude, you can find vintages on Ebay, but expect to pay $$$$$$$. I have vintage bottles from the 1940s, '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s, and early '90s. They all smell great. So yes, you can find the original, but NOT on Amazon or at Walmart or any other drugstore. Ebay or Etsy and get ready to pay for it.

It's a cologne, not a perfume. But it is a beautiful, rich fragrance and I have purchased several bottles from Amazon.

Q: Does this perfume come wrapped in shrinkwrap when new?

Comes in its own box, now how whoever ships it to you, thats another story. When Amazon shipped mine it was in a hard cover container inside of their shipping box. When it got to me it was in its original form, no nicks and bruises. (New)..shipped very secure, no shrink wrap..
