Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich

I purchased this book understanding the flaws that permeate the modern American Political System on both sides of the aisle. At this point in my life, it is hard to be shocked by the moral depravity of our leaders. Bill and Hillary Clinton, however, have crafted a legal structure through the Clinton Foundation that brings to bear the worst aspects of public fraud and influence peddling imaginable. As Hillary says, the Clinton's started this century, "Dead Broke," and yet today, having engaged in no productive business activity beyond public speaking engagements and poorly received books, they have accumulated untold personal wealth and control billions through a "charitable" foundation. Along the way, they have accepted millions of dollars from foreign donors who just happen to have business interests that could be advanced through Hillary's activities as a Senator or Secretary of State and Bill's lobbying efforts as an ex-President. To see one instance where a donation was followed by a favorable outcome might be a coincidence, but Schweizer provides dozens, in what could only be described as a concerted scheme of bribery and influence peddling. To rail against the Republican War on Women, while accepting millions in "donations," from despotic foreign regimes that stone women for adultery is the height of hypocrisy. In a world of equal justice, Bill and Hillary would be headed to prison, not on the campaign trail. This book is extensively researched and footnoted. It is a well-written and cogent depiction of facts that the Clinton Spin Machine seems unable to rationally dispute, from an author who has a history of justifiably attacking both Democrats and Republicans.

I’m sure he wears his title with head held high.In a complicated, well-grounded expose, the author delves into the seamy world of politics, bribery, greed, and favoritism. The Clintons, if one believes what is written, are stars of a world where backs are scratched, huge amounts of money change hands in questionable deals, and powerful people ride the backs of those with immense influence.One of the questions that Schweizer asks repeatedly in his book is why do the Clintons get involved with so many people of ill repute? He answers it with illustrations of the vast amounts on money the couple have accumulated through the years, particularly when Hillary was Secretary of State and could exert tremendous influence on worldwide decisions. Bill has been paid millions of dollars to give speeches, mostly complementary, of scabby world leaders and corrupt public works processes, and has received huge donations to the family foundation along with immense speaking fees. Shortly thereafter, Hillary makes favorable decisions in her official capacity that garner lucrative returns to the cash cows that more than justifying the initial investment.There are some who claim the Clintons could care less about money and influence. The laughter that follows such declarations is loud and raucous. Their storybook rise from rags to riches, haunted along the way with shady deeds, is not one of innocence and purity.There has been tremendous research into the premise of the book, all duly noted in the book notes. The convoluted arrangements are mind-numbing but clearly laid out by the author. Of course the reader’s political persuasion will dictate the believability. Bin immer ein wenig skeptisch bei "Enthüllungsbüchern". Der eine weiß, wo die Ufos sind, der andere kennt die geheimen Hintermänner,..... Doch dieses Buch ist erfrischend anders. Ziemlich nüchtern und sehr faktenorientiert beleuchtet es zeitliche Zusammenhänge zwischen Spenden und politischen Weichenstellungen, an denen die Clintons direkt beteiligt waren.Wem die beiden Karrieristen schon immer unsympatisch waren, der findet hier seine Bestätigung. Wenn auch nur die Hälfte der in diesem Buch beschriebenen möglichen "Gaunereien" der Clintons und ihrer ach so wohltätigen Stiftung wahr ist, ist das nur noch für Zyniker zu ertragen.Sehr gut lesbar und auch für "nicht-Amis" verständlich.

Bill & Hillary Clinton esaminati impietosamente sotto una lente di ingrandimento che mette a nudo più di un'ombra sul recente passato della coppia, uno spaccato dell'affarismo politico senza scrupoli, reso con la sobrietà del giornalismo che non indulge agli strilli ed ai facili scandali. Da leggere, se si vuol capire di più sul "Clintonismo" e sul conseguente "Anti-trumpismo" che ha segnato una transizione in modo indelebile e senza alcun precedente nella storia.

CLINTON CASH is very well researched and well written with no holds barred in exposing the corrupt "Pay For Play" modus operandi of the Clintons and their pack. It is unbelievable that they could have perpetuated their illegal and immoral activities for so many decades and yet still hold power. Will nothing stop them?
