THIRD time was the charm!
I ordered a L/XL because measuring I'm right at or above 7 1/8. Well, it came and I liked the hat but it was really too big. Sent back and reordered. When the FIRST S/M arrived it was labeled S/M however it was even larger than the first hat. So, send back and try one more time. This on came and fits. Still honestly a bit looser than I'd like for a new hat but if it loosens I can add some shimming. My advice is definitely order on the smaller side and good luck. There should be more a better sizing.
