iCat 11042CP-C89 Dri Cat Hang It Waterproof Case with Carabiner for iPhone 4/4S - 1 Pack - Retail Packaging - Yellow

I have owned an iCat before and it worked great until I dropped it and a plastic clip on it broke. Swimming in a pool, taking pics of the kids above and under water was awesome. I ordered this one to replace it and, well... it wasn't waterproof, despite following all instructions. Phone died within an hour of trying it out. Quality assurance for this product is lacking. Only works well if truly waterproof!

with the waterproof sheet, you cant hear the voices well while on a phone call.

Will keep you posted around how this little gem handles in open water.Pros: (a) Love that there is no complex mechanical button pushing required; (b) Love that all the iPhone touch functions are available through the highly responsive clear front cover--- including swiping; (c) Photos look great with no apparent distortion from the case window.Cons: (a) Slightly concerned about the protection of the front cover/ window; the window itself is very very thin, which allows for full touch functionality, but then will it stand up to the rigor of outdoor activities? (b) The seal/ gasket is held in position by a tight non-permanent fit, and dependent on a perfect placement and door closure by the user. That concerns me a bit when out in the elements. Seems easy to misalign, but need to use the case more to say for sure.Again, just concerns, not based on any failed experiences with the case. Time will tell, and I'll come back to update later. All in all, this seems like a great case, especially for the price, and should do its job nicely with proper care. I'll be using this case for boating/ kayaking other sports near or on the water. But would not recommend for diving, since it's only rated for 18 feet. You may want to use a true underwater sports camera/ case like GoPro for that--not your phone.

I was doubtful of this being truly waterproof, but we took it on a sailing vacation in June and it works like a charm. Even jumped into the water with the video running and got some super fun shots. Even worked UNDER water. Didn't submerse it for very long so didn't test it other than a dunk and a splash. Screen gets a little foggy so didn't use it for long, but perfect for the beach, sailing, boating, etc.

Dont like the fact that the phone has to be removed from the case to access the power button of the phone. Also dont care for the tacky feel of the screen protection.

A little awkward - I never used it.
