A Very Well-made Product
I needed a handrail to attach to an outside wall for my front porch. After looking at several alternatives, I came across this in Amazon. The description sounded just like what I was looking for; simple, straight, yet classy looking, and easy to install. I decided to take a chance and buy this, even though it had no reviews yet. I'm sure glad I did! When it came (a couple of days early), it looked and felt exactly as described. It is made of very solid, well-made materials. I proceeded to install it on the wall, the lower half of which is stone; the upper half hardie board siding. Following the instructions and recommendations, the installation went smoothly and the innovative support brackets made for a very solid attachment to two different materials. It looks great and works well! I highly recommend this.

Great Handrails!
We ordered these handrails to replace our old wooden ones because we didn’t want to have to stain them after refinishing our wood floors and also, we wanted a more modern look. These are beautifully made! We are very satisfied with our purchased. We had to shorten them a bit because we were in between sizes, we were able to achieve this by using a miter saw. We had a few questions for the manufacturer and they were extremely responsive, courteous, and helpful!

Firstly, customer service was readily available (even late and on weekends) and very supportive with technical advice. Secondly, I had a problem with the rail supports and the adjustment where the supports attach to the rail. More than likely this was my fault but nevertheless two things happened: (1) I got quick and substantial answers detailing the adjustment I needed to make to the supports and (2) I had to remove and reinstall every support to make the adjustment necessary to limit the flexing of the rail. Of note - the attachment that needed to be tightened was unable to be sufficiently tightened on two of the supports because the screw that I was tightening was bottoming out and would not quite go in far enough to get everything snug. With these two supports I drilled and tapped a couple more threads and then everything worked wonderfully. This is a minor fabrication issue that probably has been fixed by now or was in the process of being addressed as the majority of the supports were able to be tightened adequately with no intervention on my part. After changing my order two or three times because I couldn't decide on the returns, PromenAid staff generously sent both end caps and ADA returns with the option to send the ADA returns back for a refund. All I can say is that the pictures don't do them justice - the ADA returns look beautiful and easily are the highlight of the installation. With the longer run, I had to butt two shorter sections together and it works just fine but I wonder if an internal coupling would've made that an easier and more secure process. There was a lot that could go wrong with this order and very little did go wrong. We have a beautiful and sturdy handrail system and it only took a few hours to get it in place. Again, kudos to PromenAid for answering the phone.

This is the second one I bought
Depending on the surface your connecting it to, it could be easy. The first one I put in my house was easy. When someone asked me about a handrail I recommended this one. most of it was easy and routine, but part was a pain in my ass. The pain was when I had to connect it to paneling that was over masonry. Drilling through the wood panel and masonry was standard , but in the masonry must have been some super hard stone. So hard that I actually left one screw out of two different hand rail supports. (I'll be going back soon to check if the rail is still secure)

Classy Handrail
We never had a railing going down the four steps in the mudroom to the outside, but when we redecorated the mudroom with a paint job and a new bench, I ordered this railing. We're not getting any younger and older friends have had difficulty getting up those stairs, sometimes even pulling coat hooks out of the wall as they grab on to anything to pull themselves up. The husband was a little upset by the cost, but now that it's up, he can't praise it enough. It is absolutely beautiful, but more importantly, it's sturdy and stable and both of us use it all the time for help getting up those stairs. Can't tell you how many times I've heard Hubby say, "I just love this mudroom now."

looks and functions great
I was hesitant to order this as I wasn't sure how much of an issue the seam where the 2 pieces join would be and I was not sure how I could manage to return such a large and heavy item, if needed. But, after having it installed, I was very pleased to note that while the seam can be felt and is visible, it hasn't bothered me enough to feel like I need to try to do anything about it. The seam is not very rough or sharp and does not significantly detract from the overall appearance of the hand rail. Note: I'm very picky and tend to be bothered by little details that might not bother others. So, I'm glad I chose this hand rail to replace the one that the company who did the restoration work on my basement somehow lost.

Railing looks very nice and as it is currently installed is working well
Railing looks very nice and as it is currently installed is working well. When it came, the installation instructions were incomplete. After we called the company, we got some advice on how to fix the issue but that idea didn't work either. My husband used a set screw to fix the problem. (The issue was that the railing was sliding on the supports. The set screw did the job.) The railing is very attractive and I would not hesitate to order another one if the occasion arose.

Pricey but well worth the money.
The hand rail could be positioned any place and any angle on the wall. It is very sturdy and safe feeling. Classiest handrail I ever seen. Loved the rubber grip underneath the rail to help not slip. So glad I pick this one even if the price was higher. Well worth the money.

Great quality
Hubby installed in an afternoon. Brass ends difficult to make tight but otherwise went together no problem. Looks beautiful and and easy to grip with arthritic hands.

Silver colour is darker bronze than photo shows.
Only thing I thought it was more silver on the ends. It’s not attached yet but it will look great.
