I’m a beginner but this is very good quality!

This kalimbas is very easy to hold. It has a beautiful magical sound to it when played. The end E tine it the only tine that makes a “plink” sound due to having it in the regular key, but I currently don’t use that note when playing. When in a different key, all tunes play perfectly fine.This is a nice kalimba to have our gift.

This has a remarkably soothing sound, very dreamy, not too quiet and not too loud.

The media could not be loaded. I had high hopes for this one. It looks nice, looks as quality product. The sound is good but the end tines are dead.

The media could not be loaded. This ZBH kalimba is made of solid acrylic in a cup/goblet shape. The high E is tight, as is often the case with this price-range of kalimbas, although it resonates some. It’s hard to hear in the video at times, but there is a bit of resonance. I hope it will loosen a bit and resonate more with time. This kalimba arrived in decent tune, which I augmented with a quick tuning.Unlike 99% of kalimbas on Amazon, this kalimba includes an EVA case, which is a huge plus, making this a better than average set.The notes are engraved on the tines and it comes with stickers for the tines so you can customize your own layout. It also comes with a music booklet, a tuning hammer, and a cleaning cloth.Overall, this is a unique acrylic kalimba in a better than average set. It’s a bit thinner than my favorite acrylic kalimbas, which makes it lighter and easier to hold for longer playing sessions.If you’re going to set this on any surface, rather than putting it in its case any time you’re not playing it, you’ll probably want to add some clear rubber bumpers/feet to the bottom, so the beautiful acrylic doesn’t get scratched.Don’t forget to wipe your tines every time, as the oils from your skin will corrode the metal tines if you don’t.As the parent of kiddos with autism, there are causes near and dear to my heart.
