Manual Crawl Space Vent with Removable Cover and Vermin Screen - Maximize Ventilation and Airflow (Black, 8" Height x 16" Width)

The vent looks nice and was not very hard to install. Drilling in the brick and mortar was hardest part. It remains to be seen how long they last and I question how long the vent cover stays attached. The attachment part didn’t look like it would keep it on. A big wind might blow it off. Time will tell.

The covers aren’t as tight fitting as I expected.

Out of a total of eight, one fell apart out of the box. The covers do not stay on tight. 2 of them are loose. One fell off and I had to duct tape it on. I returned the one that fell apart for replacement of same. I have been waiting for weeks for the replacement but just found out they credited my account instead of sending me another one. I will now have to order a replacement and wait until next year to get it while I have the opening for it covered with cardboard. Too bad as it is a nice design but quality could be better.

The cover was easy to install and very professional looking .

The inside screen is tabbed with only 6 plastic tabs so the screen is loose and flimsy and there is no way to secure the screen because the screen is only on the opening of the vent and not aganst the outer flange that would sit flush against the side of crawl space. A design flaw for sure which is a shame, manufacture almost had it right. I installed 9 of these and used Sika flex proper masonary sealent to seal up. and installed 4 tapcons on each.

I would have rated this product a 5 star except for the price, but considering the price of comparable products, I do like it a lot. Very durable!

Did the job

I thought they had real screen not plastic and to put the cover on i guess i,m gonna have to make my own way to secure them they give you a nut and bolt no way to use that
