The item arrives in a vacuumed sealed back that squeezes the foam paper thin. After opening the bag it rose to about a 1/2inch instead of 2”. But after adding hot water it does expand to 2” and feels normal

I didn't like how it was packaged is pretty big. Just shoved into a 4x5x7? Box (smaller box cheaper shipping for them). Had to wait 3 days until it expanded to it original form so I could use it

The media could not be loaded.  This one had just the right size pores that I needed and the thickness was just right for the 10 gal Matten filters that I wanted to make. I need more of this stuff for future projects.

If you're looking for the best deal on mechanical, reusable sponges. This is it. Well, that is, if I don't end up buying them all because of how great they are. Built strong and are lasting in a heavily stocked turtle pond in direct sunlight. Very easy to rinse and captures all debris.

Came folded and squashed in a box. Hard to use as a filter media when it needs to be flat.And it wasn’t damaged in shipping, included is a picture of the box it came in, In perfect shapeHopefully I can straighten it back out over time, otherwise it’s useless in its current state.

Cut short Filter matter cut short even cut jagged line crazy, therefore would not fit my filter box , Worthless to me do not buy, you don't know what size you're going to get.

It came vacuum packed so it was extremely flat. Just add water and watch it expand.

I ordered the 23 x 12 x 2 inch block. What I received is 12 x 12 x 1 inch; not even close to the stated size. It also has a weird book shape; two halves joined in a "V", for some reason.I chose this one specifically because of the size, so this is disappointing to say the least.UPDATE: The sponge comes vacuum packed and it grows very slowly once opened. A day later, the total dimensions are closer to being correct; about 23 x 13 x 1.5" now. The weird V-shaped bend remains, but does seem less extreme now. Maybe this process simply takes days.I've amended my rating to reflect this.
