There is no comparing this stuff to the competition. Hands-down... after ordering a gallon of shampoo and a gallon of conditioner from another brand to save a few bucks, I'm back to Buddy Wash. My pups have never been happier to jump in the shower since we're back where we started. Now I plan to donate the almost-full gallons of S&C to the shelter. This stuff not only smells amazing but my dogs are cleaner, longer. The other stuff left them itchy on day one and with a greasy coat by day 3. They were miserable. I also love that the added conditioner pulls up some of the undercoat, exposing more of their skin to a good washing. Your dogs will not be disappointed!

Many dog shampoos don't lather well, requiring you to use a larger amount of shampoo. This one lathers well with very little amount used. It smells great and rinses easily.

I LOVE this dog shampoo with conditioner. I've been using it the past 3 years on five dogs - a sheltie, a havanese, two labs, and and a pit mix. Finally decided to write a review while coming back to order another gallon.I love this shampoo for many reasons:-lathers easily-smells great (and lasts for days)-dogs' coats are soft and shiny (especially the black dogs - boy, do they SHINE!)-gentle enough to use weekly-a little goes a long way-rinses easilyIn addition, this shampoo keeps two of my dogs with allergy issues from itching - their skin stays healthy and doesn't get flaky and dry. (Of course works great on dogs with normal skin, too!)I'm a veterinarian and right now I do relief work, but if I ever own my own practice, my groomer would use this shampoo for all of the boarders! I've used lots of other brands for allergies (Malaseb, Chlorhex, dermalyte) - but this shampoo smells better and works just as well and is more cost-effective! Even though I can order through veterinary supply sites to have any shampoo I want - I think this one, not marketed to vets, is much better. I took it to a practice one time while bathing one of my dogs and the techs tried it on their dogs and loved it too!Try a small bottle and if you like it, order the gallon and get a pump for it. :)

I've been using Buddy Wash Lavender & Mint 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner on my dog (Maltese/Poodle mix) ever since I got him two years ago. Thanks to the positive reviews, I found the perfect go-to dog shampoo/conditioner and will not use any other brand as long as this is available. The ingredients are mostly natural, and it helps effectively cleanse and condition my dog's fur without irritating his skin or causing any tangles or knots to develop. I have also used this on my sister's Cavachon with good results- her fur is very curly and prone to knots, so this is great for her as well. A little goes a long way, especially for smaller dogs. My dog's fur smells so good afterward, and the scent is soft and soothing, not overpowering, and it lasts. His fur is incredibly soft after it dries, too. I don't have a single negative thing to say about it. I originally bought the 16 oz. size bottle, and now I refill it using the gallon size, as it is more cost-effective (and I won't have to reorder any time soon). I recommend Buddy Wash to all dog owners, even with dogs who have sensitive skin.

I bought one of these gallon jugs and one of the 16 ounce bottles in January 2015 to use for my 3 dogs (West Highland White Terrier approx 14lbs, Skye Terrier approx 35lbs, and mixed breed approx 28lbs). We use this shampoo exclusively (expect when instructed to use medicated shampoo by the vet for allergy flare ups, this did not happen often necessarily but should be noted). We bathe the dogs approximately once a week to every 2 weeks (due to allergy flare ups). We cut the shampoo with water to help the suds during washing, I wish I could tell you how much but I really just eye ball it and add water as the mixture decreases if needed.I just bought my second gallon today 6/9/2018. So 1 gallon and 1 16 ounce could last use over 3 years. A great buy in my opinion.As to the quality of the shampoo, it works well, has a slight scent but nothing overwhelming. It does not cause any allergic reactions. My Skye is on daily medication for her allergies, they tend to be related to pollen and seasonal and result in her having red bumps and biting the skin on her legs until they bleed. This shampoo does not irritate her allergies any. We don't see any increased matting from the shampoo. Overall I'm very pleased with this product and since I have a 3+ year experience with it I figured I should share.

I work with dogs all the time usually a great shampoo is essential using the shampoo is a great way to make a dog smell. Amazing and look their best.

There are a few reasons why I will now only use Buddy Wash on my best friend.1. Coconut-base. This coconut based shampoo and conditioner in one does a great job getting rid of the dirt and grime out of your pet's fur. The base is gentle on your hands, and it's safe for humans. You can even use is as your shampoo or body wash if you like.2. Provides maximum huggability. I've used other shampoo and conditioner in ones before, but nothing has came even close to the softness this creates on my dog's coat. Seriously, after she's dried from her bath, the family will hug her for hours on end. Yes, it's that soft. I often get comments from people that pet my dog, "She's so soft, did she just have a bath?" The answer is usually that she had a bath three weeks or so ago.3. Smells divine. I love the rosemary and mint. Actually I really love the lavendar and mint, but this one's very nice too. If your dog is male, he might prefer the rosemary as opposed to lavendar, or he might not. The rosemary and mint smell fades quickly after the first couple of days. The lavendar and mint one smells for a couple of weeks or until my dog decides that she wants to smell like dead squirrel by rolling around in exactly that--dead squirrel.So this is definately the shampoo for Fido. Now you just have to decide which scent would he prefer.

Never had issues with this brand. Been using it for years on my dogs.

By far my favorite dog shampoo... smells great and leaves their fur looking glossy and feeling soft.

Have been using Buddy Wash for 10 years. Lavender Mint is my favourite scent. It lathers up nicely and rinses easily, leaving hair soft and smelling nice. If your dog likes to roll around in the grass ( as mine does ) I recommend shampoo rinse and repeat for a perfect wash. Love this product!!!
