These are pretty good. I wish they stayed on without having to tape them. They come off pretty quickly if they rub against clothing or sheets.

It Works!
I fell in the yard and broke my face...or some of the bones in it. There was also a huge gash that we had to pick wood out of. So the scar...being on my face...under one eye...is of concern. My plastic surgeon recommended the gel, but no particular brand.I have found that this does help in flattening the scar tissue. Not sure why, but I think the skin reads it as "skin" and thus does not grow further in that direction. Maybe protects from air without suffocating, too.It can adhere to the scar, but will also come off while one sleeps, for example. Easy solution is a band aid over it, to hold it in place. Also makes it less mysterious to people than a blue thing on one's face. The gel cushion makes it easier to massage the scar tissue without abrading the outer layer of skin and tissue. That's really helpful to healing. It takes a full year for an injury like mine to heal. I have been using this a couple of months, and notice a difference if I take it off and forget for a few days. Using scissors to cut this strip down into pieces that fit the scar makes it last forever, and the pieces can be cleaned and re-used. If you do serious massage, however, the top and bottom layer will begin to slowly drift apart.

Not as good as promised.
Didn't keep the keloids at bay as promised. Have a major flatworm on my abdomen.

Worked well for me, much better than the paste.
After my thyroid surgery my surgeon sold me a tube of nasty paste (Spectragel) to put over the closed wound to prevent excessive scarring. The paste was hard to apply, hard to remove, and was messy as hell until it dried. I looked up the paste on the internet and the same manufacturer makes this Spectrafilm. I bought them here on Amazon. These sheets are SO much easier to use, can be cut into the exact size and shape needed, and each little strip cut from the larger film just slaps right on, stays on without a fuss unless you really sweat it off, is practically invisible, doesn’t mess up clothes, I barely remembered I had them on, and each lasts about a week (with daily or twice-daily cleaning with soap and water).I used these strips every day for 20-23 hours a day for 5 months after my surgery. A year after that and no one notices my surgery scar and the only time I notice it myself is when I look closely at my neck in a mirror while I’m shaving. Highly recommended over the paste!

Three Stars
It doesn't stay on very good, but if you use medical tape it's not too bad

best I tried so far
it's key to start using them right away (as soon as you can). sticky back remains like that for almost 4 weeks of daily removal and resticking to the skin, scar is kept smooth and tight which helps prevent keloid and discoloration
