Works great, smells even better! I’ve tried a lot of mosquito repellents, but this one has quickly become my favorite. The balm is the perfect size to keep in my purse, so it’s always on hand when I’m out and about. Application is easy and mess-free, and unlike sprays, I don’t have to worry about it leaking or getting everywhere. What really sets this apart is the scent. It’s fresh, light, and surprisingly pleasant—so much so that I’ve had people ask me what perfume I’m wearing after I’ve applied it! It’s nice to use a repellent that doesn’t smell harsh or chemical-like, but still does the job of keeping mosquitoes away. I’ve already repurchased and will continue to keep this stocked. If you want a natural mosquito repellent that’s effective, portable, and smells good enough to get compliments, this is it.

Mosquitos, ticks, and chiggers line up and buy tickets to bite my husband, but generally don't bother me. I bought this for him, and had to start using myself, because they won't get near him now. I got swarmed with mosquitos and had chigger bites, plus found a few attached ticks the first time he used it. Now we both use it and aren't hearing that whiny buzz or getting itchy bites. Essential oils for the win! This stuff really works. I put a swipe of it around my leg just above the ankle, on each side of my neck, and on each arm. The solid form is easy to put where it's needed. We also bought the spray, which also works, but like sprays do, it goes where the breeze takes it, and isn't easy to use on the neck area. These are pocket-sized, not big. The spray is 4 oz. But the relief from insects is HUGE.

So happy they made this into a stick! No more "fumes" and much easier to carry. I feel like it's not quite as effective as the original liquid, but maybe because I probably apply less with the stick than I would when I use the spray? Either way, this is some of the best repellent I have found and I only pull out the DEET as last resort.

We moved into our new house and the first night we were eaten alive!! It was horrible, especially over the feet and ankles. They call these things no see ums because they’re so tiny! The bites are so itchy I had to do something. I started putting this on my arms and legs, no more bites!! This has been a lifesaver. I put it on daily and it’s been great. Smells strong of lemon and the dogs aren’t crazy about it, I don’t care as long as I’m not being bit. They’re like tiny deodorant sticks which is very easy to use and I don’t have to get it all over my hands. Will buy more for sure!

I am a MAGNET for mosquitoes. I walk outside for 2 minutes in summer and I've got several bites already. I've tried everything you can find on a big box store shelf and still get ate up. I decided to start trying some alternatives and gave this product a try, liking that it contained more natural ingredients. I was worried I'd hate the smell but it was actually very pleasant. Citrusy and fresh smelling, and a little went a long way. It wasn't super oily. My skin felt moisturized. HOWEVER, literally right after application, I got bit.....and continued to get bit until I could not take it anymore and went back to a store bought spray. While this may be a great product for most people, but for me it didn't help at all with the mosquitoes.

I have tried SO many sprays, balms, wipes, etc. None have compared to this one! My Husband and I went to Cozumel with friends on a cruise. I always worry about mosquito bites because I have CRACK BLOOD to them and they can swarm you. I took another bug repellent with me that has worked before, but also brought this as a back up. We went to see some ancient ruins and it was very muggy that day. The other (Spray) "all natural repellent," FAILED. My friend shouted out, "OMG the mosquitos are swarming you" and then everyone was going OMG. I pulled out the Murphy's mosquito repellent and started applying. Within about a minute to 2 mins they couldn't even find me and starting biting others in our group. LOL. The scent is not over powering at all and even with severe allergies (including eczema) this DOES NOT cause any itching. I even slept all night with it on my skin and still no itching and no tearing up of my skin. This stuff is AMAZING! I never leave my house without it. I take mini's of the repellent with me. You can pop a little bit into the microwave and melt it down to pour into other mini containers. Like: An oval lip balm tube (friends preferred the mini stick method of application) or empty eyeshadow (I prefer this method) for the pocket! The Tin works well for me and the solid makes it so much easier to travel with as you do not have to get it out for TSA pre-checks. The Murphy's bite relief and soothing balm works great too if you happen to get bit. A+ all around on these items.

Ever since we discovered Murphys Repellent we haven't bought any other brands of bug repellent. This stuff smells great and is made of natural oils. You can feel safe putting this on your skin. I'm so happy they have this in a balm stick it is so much easier to apply and open up compared to the tin I had before. These sticks are perfect size to throw in your hip pack , purse, or pocket. I seriously don't go anywhere without it during bug seasons. I work outdoors and it is a MUST HAVE for me.
