I bought this because I couldn’t get the oxygen and acetylene tanks. This thing heats up the copper just as good as the tanks. I love it.

They said you can melt silver with Map gas. True, eventually. This torch was an attempt to melt silver in a ceramic melt dish. With a stationary torch and this hose connected torch I was able to melt silver with a lot of patients. The short barrel means your hand gets hot fast. I bought good gloves but immediately bought some aluminized foundry gloves after one day of use. The back of your hand gets hot, not the palm side.My biggest issue was the flame frequently goes out. I was relighting every minute. I eventually set up another torch to provide a continuous relight source.My solution was to go buy an expensive by comparison oxygen acetylene torch and tanks. Not sure how often I’ll use this torch in the future.

The media could not be loaded. Can't wait, tested the torch on BLUEFIRE MAPP gas immediately when I got it. This torch looks small but it is very very powerful, really beyond my expectation. The instruction said it can weld copper pipes up to 1.5", I would say it can do far more better, the official manual is underestimate its capacity. I tested the torch on 1.5" and 2" copper pipe, the 1.5" pipe burns into red within 35 sec, and the 2" also reaches weldable condition for around 60 sec. Of course it can handle large diameter copper pipes which even larger than 2". Again, very very powerful torch, good in every ways and till now I have no complaints at all. I love this torch!

This is junk in a box...It don,t work, there is no gas flow after turning both valves on. Why do you want to send junk out to us?Now I have to fig out how to send it back at my cost. I did not save the package it came in, so I am probably screwed for no reason than just a little QC on your product.I don,t buy this for run, I need it as a tool for work.Thanks for nothing.Negative a 1000 Stars.

I had a torch that directly screwed on the propane tank until now. But it was difficult to move around things. This torch is excellent in terms of being able to use in tighter areas and off angles. The heat adjustment works great. It provided excellent heat for aluminum brazing. Using the provided attachment I was able to hang the propane tank on my belt as moved around the project. It puts out a lot of heat but the torch itself does not get hot at all. I am happy with this purchase. I would definitely recommend it.

Used with Map-Pro gas it desoldered a 1-1/2 inch copper pipe in seconds flat. It has 3 ways to adjust the flame and I had no problem adjusting the flame. Well worth it for pipes down to 3/4 inch. I'd get the smaller version for 1/2 inch and less copper pipe since this thing puts out a ton of heat quickly, almost too much heat for smaller pipes.

The box was open. The context of the box looks like it was just tossed in the shipping box. Such a hassle to return. We should get credit for us having to go through the trouble of returning used products.
