Mederma for Kids

Love this scar cream!! Used it on my 3 year olds brand new scar for about 6 weeks and the scar has completely gone away - very effective! I was diligent about putting it on her skin at least 2 times a day. Love that it goes on purple and dries clear - this makes it fun for the kids to “put on medicine.” The smell is also good… not a bad smell at all. Easy to use, not sticky at all, and worth every penny.

It’s been so helpful in making sure my daughter doesn’t have scar marks especially on her face. We just started using this but I’ve used in the past and have been happy with the results. My daughter says it smells good too! Will update after using for a while.

My son has a scar on his face. After using this scar gel for a period of time, we noticed the scar gradually becoming lighter. The texture is gentle and easy to apply, and it did not irritate his skin. We’re happy with the results so far.

We used this a few months every night after the burn had healed to see if it would make the scar go away. It seemed to really help. The scar is barely noticeable now. We probably should have used it more often and I think the scar would have been even more invisible. I would use again if needed.

Received and started using a few days ago. Was surprised that the gel is not only purple (dries mostly clear) but is also scented. I don’t like the purple because I’m afraid it’s going to stain clothes, especially when my daughter wants to help put it on. I don’t want purple everywhere! Also, there are times when it does not dry completely clear and there’s purple on my child’s face. The scent is very strong; smells like processed grape candy. Seems unnecessary as this is not something you’re trying to get the child to eat. When my daughter‘s wound was still healing, I would put antibiotic cream on it when she was asleep- very effective bc she wouldn’t wipe it off. I tried to put this on her while she was sleeping one night, and it smelled so strongly she woke up. I’m going to talk to her doctor about other options so we can avoid the purple/scented nonsense.

I got this for my 1 year old to help reduce a scar on her head. It’s tricky because it’s purple and grape flavored which is great for kids but also temping for kids. The color and scent make it appealing to try to eat it. I didn’t find it to work but also wasn’t consistent due to her age. It did take awhile to dry on her head which made it hard to keep on. After application it would leave a purple spot on her head and in her hair if it got in it. I ended up giving up on this and just let her scar be.
