I’m very happy once again with inkbird. They constantly provide high quality products at a very fair price.I have been using this with my new pizza oven it’s perfect for seeing the temperature of the ceramic base plates. It comes supplied in a plastic but is easy to open.It comes supplied with the 9v battery needed to run the temperature sensor.It turns on with a simple press of the trigger, you are then able to aim the infrared dot at the place you need your temperature reading. May I add this is done instantly.Please note this is for external temperature not internal, so it would be no good for checking food for example but perfect for checking the temperature of the oven before you put your food in.You have 3 buttons to choose from on the screen.The first button changes between Celsius and Fahrenheit.The second button let’s you turn off and on the pointing laser (red dot).And the last button let’s you change between the maximum temperature reading “MAX” and the emissivity “EMS”I didn’t really understand what ems was so I did some research......Substances with very low emissivity ratings, like highly polished metals, tend to be very reflective of ambient infrared energy and less effective at emitting their own electromagnetic waves. If you were to point an infrared thermometer with fixed emissivity at the side of a stainless steel pot filled with boiling water, for example, you might get a reading closer to 100°F (38°C) than 212°F (100°C). That’s because the shiny metal is better at reflecting the ambient radiation of the room than it is at emitting its own infrared radiation.I hope this helps you understand what that setting is now for.Overall for the price vs quality I am agin very pleased with my inkbird product I stand behind this company and always recommend them to family and friends (I cook outdoors on various bbqs outdoor ovens hot plates ect) so I always get asked what products or company’s I use.I hope this review has been clear for you and do not hesitate to ask a question I will try and reply.If you found this helpful please click the helpful button it helps build my profile.

***UPDATED Sunday 20th March 2022***My original 1 Star review is below and it is an accurate review of the device I had to return for a full refund.However, I was contacted by Barbecue Plus and asked if I would consider trying another BBQGO Infrared Thermometer to try. No request for payment or to change my review was made. So, I'm dealing with a company who really care about their customers and what they think. Therefore I'm prepared to amend my review accordingly.The new thermometer arrived today and I have to say it's much better than the first one I received which, I have to conclude, must have been faulty. The BBQGO Infrared Thermometer arrives in an easy open clear package with a 9v battery, which should last ages and instructions. The instructions include emissivity settings for a wide range of materials you may want to check the temperature ofI checked out the thermometer against the other brand infrared replacement I bought from Amazon, my Inkbird Inkbird IHT-1P Meat Thermometer, my Inkbird IBBQ-4T Wireless BBQ Thermometer, my Meater probe and a good old fashioned mercury type thermometer. Remarkably, none gave the same reading so but, all were within a range of +/- 4° C from highest to lowest. So, I think these consumer thermometers have to be considered a guide and not scientifically accurate. To be honest, I'd sooner have a thermometer that reports a cooler rather than hotter temperature, especially when cooking chicken for instance, so there's less chance of eating undercooked meat.Therefore, I now have no hesitation in awarding this BBQGO Infrared Thermometer a full 5 stars and thank you Barbecue Plus for your customer focus.************************************************************************************************************************Original Review on 9th March 2022***I was delighted when this BBQGO IFT-01 Infrared thermometer (IB-0289-BO) arrived because it's actually badged as an Inkbird Plus and I have two other excellent Inkbird thermometers.However, that was as good as it got. This thermometer is very inaccurate, reading between 12° &15° C. too low. I checked it against several heat sources including my forehead: 24° as oposed to 37° and a pre-heated mug containing freshly boiled water: 74°, my Inkbird 1HT-1P meat themometer showed 89°I visited the Inkbird site and could find no details of an Inkbird Plus INK-IFT01 (IB-0289-BO) so maybe my initial excitement was ill founded and this isn't an Inkbird product at all.Straight back to Amazon with it.

The unit arrived next day with Prime and that was excellent as needed it for a Pizza lunch was having with friends. Id been having issues guessing the temp of the pizza stone so some pizzas had been coming out with underdone bases. Using this thermometer allowed me to accurately know when the stone was hot enough each time so could cook the pizzas perfectly. The gun reads quickly so am able to close the door and keep in heat on the pizza oven. It also operates from distance so you dont have to get close. A really good device and inkeeping with the quality id expect from Inkbird

Very easy to use but can be fiddly for radiator balancing.purchased to balance radiators but didn't go as well as I had hoped. I had to use black masking tape on the pipes as the copper was throwing up the wrong temp

The media could not be loaded. I have had a pizza oven and a kamado for a number of months and in still working my way around them and I was getting annoyed at my other infrared thermometer as it never quite seemed accurate but now I know why! This has 2 lasers! When they line up that's the right distance to take the temperature. I love how chunky this is it feels more robust and like it will last all the battering I will be giving it over the coming years.

Das digitale Display ist einfach abzulesen und ermöglicht es einem, die Temperatur in Celsius oder Fahrenheit zu messen.Was ich auch sehr gut finde, ist die schnelle Reaktionszeit des BBQGO Lasers. Er liefert in Sekundenschnelle genaue Messwerte, was das Kochen und Grillen sehr viel einfacher macht. Das Gerät ist auch sehr einfach zu bedienen und erfordert keine komplizierte Einrichtung oder Installation.Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist die Möglichkeit, den Laser für viele andere Anwendungen zu verwenden, nicht nur zum Grillen. Man kann ihn zum Beispiel auch für die Überprüfung von elektronischen Geräten oder die Messung der Raumtemperatur verwenden.Alles in allem kann ich den BBQGO Laser jedem empfehlen, der auf der Suche nach einem erschwinglichen, aber dennoch hochwertigen Temperaturmessgerät ist. Das Gerät ist handlich, glaube soweit ich es vergleiche mit anderen Thermometer ,gibt gute Ergebnissevielseitig verwendbar. Ein Stern Abzug die ) Volt Batterie war schon vor 7 abgelaufen und das Display blieb aus . Die mit gelieferte Transporttasche ist klasse. Trotzdem klare Kaufempfehlung. Sehr schneller Versand .

Da ich schon einige Inkbird Produkte habe und ich mit der Qualität und der Zuverlässigkeit sehr zufrieden bin, habe ich mich auch dieses Mal für das Laser Infrarot Thermometer von Inkbird entschieden.Zum Einsatz kommt es bei mir beim Grillen, backen, Bier brauen und Schnaps brennen (ist legal, in dem Land, in dem ich wohne) und natürlich um mal schnell zwischendurch irgendwo die Temperatur zu messen.Ich hatte schon einmal ein solches Laser Thermometer, jedoch fand ich das sehr ungenau und auch der Messabstand war immer ein Zufallstreffer und so kamen oftmals unterschiedliche Temperaturanzeigen zustande.Dieses Thermometer von Inkbird hat 2 Laserspots, die den zu messenden Gegenstand anleuchten und je nachdem wie weit oder wie nah man mit dem Gerät an dem Gegenstand ist, gehen die Punkte auseinander oder zusammen. Wenn die beiden Punkte jedoch genau übereinander liegen, hat man den exakten Messabstand und ein genaues Ergebnis, egal wie oft man an diesem Punkt misst, das Ergebnis ist dann immer identisch.Die Verarbeitung ist wie gewohnt gut und mir der beiliegenden 9-Volt Batterie kann man gleich loslegen. Das Messgerät liegt gut in der Hand und ist einfach zu bedienen.Von mir die volle Punktzahl, für das Geld ist es für mich ein guter Kauf und ich kann es mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Selbst ohne große Anleitung, kann man durch Probieren und Testen einfach bedienen. Den integrierten Laser kann man ein- oder ausschalten, die Zuverlässigkeit wurde dadurch nicht beeinflußt soweit ich es einschätze. Auch wenn man die empfohlene Entfernung sehr deutlich über- oder unterschreitet, kann das Gerät messen - wobei bei kürzerer Entfernung eine schnellere Messung erfolgt.Das gerät schaltet sich bei Nicht-Benutzen automatisch aus.Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis? Ganz ehrlich: Keine Ahnung wie da n Vergleich zu anderen Geräten dieser Art wäre. Daher freundliche 4 Sterne. N Gerät, wo man sich überlegt sowas zu kaufen aber dann nicht so teuer ist ob mans kaufen sollte/könnte.
