Melissa & Doug Blue's Clues & You! Wooden Handle Stamps and Activity Pad

My son is 2 and loves this set. The design is perfect for little hands and he loves stamping and creating art.The ink pods are small but fine for little craft work like making little cards. There are 6 stamps and colours and they’re stored in a little wooden tray.A lovely little set for arts and crafts with little mess.

Lovely stamp set, a truly ''classical'' gift, much better than giving an ipad or a phone to a child. I am giving this to my cousins daughters for Christmas and I am sure they will love it. It loos like it has a very good quality to it, and does not look cheap. Lovely gift for some lovely children!!

Tried a couple of other types of stampers for my toddler before these and these are the only ones that I felt happy enough to leave in the arts and crafts box. Their design not only makes them easy to hold but also less likely for my daughter to get ink all over her hands when trying to put them in the ink pad. The small narrow ink pad is a positive and a negative. It’s less messy so means less ink everywhere but means that my daughter doesn’t always put the stamp in her intended color target which causes tears at times! It also means that the colors are really mixed now and they sort of bleed into one another. But overall this is a good product which really helps with motor skills and hand eye coordination. The stamp pics are simple and cute and this regularly comes out alongside the colouring books for an extra creative activity. Daughter loves this and it’s always a hit with play dates too. I’ve never had any problems removing the ink from hands or clothes.

I brought this to hide the stamps in plastic eggs for a Easter hunt. They were the right size and it meant my four year old niece had to look for ten eggs. She then spent a long time trying each stamp on the different colour inks, we went through a lot of paper. She wasn't to worried about using the pencils to colour them in but liked the different symbols. It was easy for her to grip and hold and while she wasn't worried about where she put it on the paper you could position them if you wanted. They are easy to clean and ready to go again straight away. My old niece (8 years old ) also used them when making cards and she to use to test each one. The ink has stayed wet, as long as you put the lid back on when finished and they have been using them for a number of years now. It comes in a nice wooden box which I must admit I have stolen to use as a desk tidy.

Once it’s open it’s difficult to store as it got no lid for the wooden tray. Even the ink only has a thin plastic packaging lid which just falls off. It’s been used once, the stamps put in an old pencil case and the ink pad tossed in the bin. The stamps worked well though and it kept my lad entertained for half hour or so.

This stamp collection was used with children 3 to 8. They had fun and so did I. Quality material and easy to hold.

As expected of most Melissa and Doug products, the overall quality is great. The stamps are the perfect size for a toddler’s hands and the activity book that comes along with it is a fun way to utilize the stamps. The only downside is the ink pads - they arrived leaking from the sides. Luckily they were wrapped in plastic so the leakage was contained, but I had to wipe them clean before my toddler could use them. The pink ink pad was also somewhat dry, probably due to the leaking. From the other reviews, it seems like the ink pads leaking or being dried out is a common issue.
