We live in an apartment building and the laundry room is in the basement. I bought other laundry hampers cheaper ones , they didn't lasted long and this was more money than I ever wanted to spend on a laundry hamper but i am glad i bought this . I can fit all our laundry in it , the bag is very sturdy, the commercial grade wheels glides on carpet and hardwood floor, it collapses easily .

This is probably one of the smartest purchases I've made in a long time. I live in a high-rise apartment building with laundry facilities downstairs, which I don't really mind that. However, for years and years (and years) I've been carrying two full and very heavy laundry bags (and supplies - detergent, fabric softer) down the hall, wait for the elevator while juggling all this stuff, dragging it all onto the elevator still juggling it, dragging it into the laundry room (whew!), and then have to get it all into the washers. Then, when it's all done, stuff all of the washed clothes back into those two heavy bags, back up a sometimes crowded elevator, drag it back to my door (while juggling it all and fumbling for the keys), then dragging it into my apartment (whew!) all the time trying to keep it from touching the dirty floor. So I was looking for another laundry bag since one had been ripped up, and I came across this cart sort of by chance - wasn't looking for this and definitely didn't plan on spending this much on a "laundry bag". Long story short, this cart (after one use today) literally changed my life. I can easily fit 4-5 weeks of laundry into it, and it rolls easily down the hall and easily into the laundry room - plus supplies in the cart as well (I'm not carrying anything!). Then, when the clothes are dry, I just drop them into the cart and wheel them easily upstairs. It's just unbelievable how a chore that used to be miserable is now so easy. Plus, this cart folds up nicely and I can put it in the closet. Smartest. Purchase. I've. Made. I looked at some of the other laundry carts with wheels, and they look too small an the reviews were not great. Plus, I didn't want a granny cart - no way - not my style. This is perfect. I can see using it for moving things around like going on a weekend trip, or when you move from one place to another. I'm so glad I got it - don't hesitate - get one! You won't be sorry. Rubbermaid to me means durable and quality - this will last a long time and save my back as well from dragging heavy loads of laundry back and forth. If you compare this Rubbermaid cart to the other laundry carts with wheels, this is commercial grade and will outlast the cheaply made ones.
