Perfect fit for shoulder. I use some kneepads in my shoulder ice pack holder which do stay colder longer.Fit is perfect and will take any size packs you have, rectangle, knee, whatever; although the shoulder pack is comfortable.Can be worn and taken on and off WITHOUT interfering with the sling.I lived in this ice pack holder for 3 months. I love it.I need 4 or 5 of these packs to continuously ice throughout the day. The packs last about 15 minutes maximum.Coldness rating: 7/10. (10 being coldest). (Not super cold compared to other packs. But worth the money and fit).These packs need about 4 to 4 and a 1/2 hours to adequately cool off In my freezer.In about 2 hours they get to a coldness of 4.5 out of 10. But only last for 10 minutes and only cool the skin, not a deep freeze.I an an athlete, and do not want to take pain medication, so I look for the deep freeze. You have to be on top of switching these packs out, every 15 minutes for a deep freeze.In my cycle of ice packs, they take the longest to freeze, and last the shortest amount of time. If you have a good freezer you can get 2-3 real uses per day.If you have packs that freeze quicker, or stay cold longer, I would use those and rotate them in with these for new ice and shorter acting slightly warmer ice to prevent frostbite.When coupled with the shoulder Velcro harness, this pack is very gentle even for the day of surgery in the days after surgery.Even though the pack doesn't get extra cold, when it is at a medium coldness it is less firm and conforms to your shoulder more easily, And is very gentle on your shoulder.

PLEASE READ: This is hands-down one of, if not the BEST shoulder brace you could buy on the market to date.I bought this brace after scouring the Internet researching which to buy. This happened after a bodybuilding injury that involved a dislocation of my shoulder. This is not just a glorified ice pack. It can be used extremely well while working out just be aware that you will get hot and need to adjust the brace accordingly. While working out, I recommended a moderate amount of air compression and no ice pack, just the brace.The magic of this device truly lies within its air compression ability. You can pump it up to quite high pressures while maintaining comfort. The air pump mechanism separates itself from other products on the market because it allows for a somewhat "perfect" fit and conformity to your shoulder since it doesn't solely rely on straps to brace your shoulder.BONUS: I have suffered from severe bicep/tricep tendinitis as well as a pinched ulnar nerve in my right elbow. With a little ingenuity, I was able to use this brace effectively on my elbows and knees albeit somewhat bulky and a very limited range of motion. Obviously this shoulder brace wasn't designed to ice and compress other joints but the relief I felt on my elbow after workouts speaks for itself in volumes.A few cons: your opposite, non-braced shoulder can become slightly chaffed under your arm while wearing tank tops but that is to be expected. Also it is quite bulky and you truly need to "commit" to putting this on and wearing it for your own good and recovery. It is very possible to walk around and wear it in public but there is no hiding the size of this brace.Ultimately the best brace money can buy. These things used to go for well over $100 and they are ahead of its time in terms of delivering a product that beats all others in function, affordability, and long-lasting reliability.I would highly recommend this brace to anyone looking to heal and fix their shoulder either from a minor to severe injury, or to speed your recovery from a surgery. 5 STARS.

Other than a little different/difficult getting set up for left shoulder wear it works well. Only used it for icing but it works well.Have someone help you set it up then it’s fairly easy to use.Doesn’t stay in place all the time but a few adjustments per 20-30 minutes of icing and it really works.Rehab from double rotator cuff tears and bicep reattachment.Did some travel during rehab and this unit was a huge help with pain relief.I would buy it again.

This brace is absolutely amazing. I have tried and returned several because they offered no support. This brace has excellent support and the pump up part makes it just that much better. Some of the braces I've seen say that it's for heat and cold therapy but they don't come with the gel pack. This one did and the gel pack completely covers my shoulder, front, back, top, and side. I highly recommend this shoulder brace.
