brilliant upgrade!
this is my second Blackvue camera and I'm one very happy customer with it. super easy to install, I'm running mine with the b130x battery just released from Blackvue and I've had zero issues with the camera. the app improvements from my previous camera (DR750s 2CH) are numerous but i love the seamless pairing and and the improvements to the live view as well as cloud functionality.most of the reviews I've seen seem to relate to the hardwiring unit. i tried setting this up in my partners car and she complained about diminished battery issues and power issues. I've found the batteries work way better and only charge when the car is on. I've used all 3 generations of the batteries now and I would not go back.I got the pack with the Samsung 128g Micro SD card and as long as you are monitoring for events (or like to upload idiotic driver behaviour), this is sufficient for most use and with parking mode I have had zero issues with formatting. \so in closing, a great camera, even the simple and the challenged can use it as Blackvue have made that very easy and do some research on supporting hardware. its not hard, there's tons of info out there or even better, reach out to Blackvue, I've found their customer service to be very very good!also this seller Best Supply, had the best price and are great at communicating so check them out :)

no better then the cheaper ones
Video quality is poor. no better then cameras half the price. cannot read plates to report near miss. camera is larger then others with same video quality. very disappointed because i paid more, expecting more. need to download quicktime to edit videos. makes no sense. same as this cloud BS. why do i want my dash cam video upload to some "cloud". I regret the decision to purchase a Blackvue dashcam.

Excellent resolution and image quality. Expensive, but mostly worth it.
I bought the BlackVue DR900X kit with two cameras, as well as an aluminum mounting bracket. It's performed extremely well for me. The only complaint I have is that the image quality suffers a bit if you don't buy a polarizing filter for both the front and rear cameras. In particular, the rear camera really needed it in my Mazda3 as I was having all kinds of glare and reflections from the glass. Polarizing lens cleared that up immediately.Overall the camera works very well in all lighting conditions. The impact sensing is EXTREMELY sensitive by default, so you will have to dial it down considerably in order for the camera to not sense an impact when driving over bridge expansion joints or small potholes. I've become used to not slamming my car door shut when I park -- this is easily detected too. The software is generally quite good and though I don't use the cloud capabilities (which are quite good, I just don't want to pay for a 5G hotspot in my car), it's easy to connect to the camera via WiFi and download or view the videos.Generally I'm very happy with the purchase. It's pretty expensive, but I think it's mostly worth it. It would be nice if the SD card it came with was a bit bigger -- this would be a great way to make the price a little less painful. Still, if you have the money, it's a worthwhile investment for the peace of mind.
