Living the Palm Springs (CA) area, we have experienced some storms with flooding. Simply put, this product works. We connected two of the units together with the "wrap" with no leakage. I was also pleased to learn you CAN make 90 degree turns with this product even with it filled with water.TIPS:--Plan ahead before filling them with water.--Lay out the tubes and "design" your barrier.--If the tube lays against stucco, rough corners, etc., place some padding (rolled up plastic grocery bag) between the tube and the material to prevent rubbing and a possible puncture--When you're satfisfied, fill them with water. The tubes are heavy once filled and I would not attempt to move them.--Purchase the filling tube; it makes it easier to fill.

Lucky for me the Hydrabarrier (or as I call it...the water dam) was delivered a few days before the most recent Hurricane Nicole arrived at our Florida door. Unrolled it, positioned it and filled it with water took about 15 minutes at the most. We needed it as our garage slops downwards towards our garage door. No so with the water dam it worked EXCEPTIONALLY well and we come out of Nicole without any seepage. On completion of the exercise, emptying was easy, presently the unit is drying off and in a Floridan garage with high temperatures I am sure that the little drop of water that maybe lurking at the end will dry out. Cannot recommend this enough - no more sandbags which rot over time.

This flood barrier is a test, it rolls away when filled with water, unless propped, it drenches you with water on removing the filling hose, and you have to very quick to replace the supplied stopper, which seems to be not very sturdy, it allows water to seep in from the sides, you have to place some gravel on the inside and outside, and it allows water to creep in from under it, where gravel also has to be placed along the whole length of the barrier. After all the extra work it was able to stop the area from being flooded out, so it was of some use.

Okay, to follow up my previous review, we had ice and rain last weekend. The water melted off my SUV and ran right under this barrier and straight into my bathroom. There's nothing like getting up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and stepping into cold water. I'm so disappointed and bummed that I spent all that money and time. Now I have a huge tube of water in my garage that I cannot deflate untill spring weather gets here and have to step over it each morning to get in my car. The car will have to sit outside during bad weather.
