I bought this for my wife who had a tummy tuck done and she with in a month started to use this Hanson Medical Scarfade Scar Gel, and it is working really great for her the scar is really fading away fast. She tried the stuff in the store that comes in a yellow or silverfish box in the beginning and saw no results so she switched to the Hanson Medical Scarfade Scar Gel and with in about a week maybe two it was showing great results. I at least had some good luck with this product, as it did help fade out some of the redness of the scarred area and reduced some of the "scaliness." However, it seems as though there is a "cutoff" in its efficacy after the skin reaches a certain point - once it has "predominantly" healed and the superficial layer of scar tissue goes away, it has a hard time targeting the "discolored" patch of skin. I have now tried another major name-brand product, and it actually seems to be gradually helping.So, in summary, I wouldn't recommend this product alone - I'd use it early on to help the scar "superficially" heal, but then switch to another product for the final phases.

This product did not work for me and I've been using it twice a day for 3 months on a thyroidectomy scar on my upper chest. The scar is still raised and red as I've been documenting the process through pictures. This is a great cream for scars. I used it for a dog bite. I know use it for grandkids for mishaps. Highly recommend
