For the price I purchased six of these shades. It is compact and cover the windshields of my vehicles well. This also can be used as a sun shade when you out at the park walking but be advised it with not hold up well against wind gust so use caution. There are a couple of things that bother me but not discourage the use. First I can not get it to neatly wrap back up when it is closed and alittle cumbersome to put back in the sleeve. Also take care when installing in the windshield and not scratch the dashboard, the skeleton structure has some sharp edges. Overall functionality is ok for it's value price.

Much more convenient than the traditional soft sun visor. The umbrella style handle even helps hold it in place! Only concern is the quality of the arms themselves.

I bought two of these in May of 2023 (it is now September 2024), one for each car and sadly they both broke at the same place when used in direct sunlight. The top connection should be made of metal or something not so weak. Especially considering that point is taking all force from the open shade.

These are a little flimsy and don't exactly stay in place. But they do block the sun with a little help from water bottles I shove up under the shade. Here's the thing, as you open the umbrella like fitting feature on the shaft, the shade opens and you slide it up under the mirror and pull the Velcro strap around to hold it. You push the footing higher and the whole shade opens further and you push it towards the windshield. BUT, the spindly little arms and hinges don't stay out straight and the weight of the handle pulls it away from the glass and makes the edges not fit tight. So then you create a little oven between the shade and the glass. And on one of my cars the handle bumps and lays against my emergency blinker button so if I hadn't noticed the battery would be dead. All that being said my solution is to shove spare water bottles, that I keep in the car, up under the shade to press it against the glass. It has kept the car some cooler. I live in Texas so cooler is often difficult but it has helped. I do like that when you close it up it only takes about the same space as an umbrella. And it only took using it twice to figure out how to make it stay in place. It does extend to the edges of the window frame but just doesn't stay there without some help. I also wonder if thicker silver film or fabric would block the heat better. Dunno

I enjoy not having to fold and store a normal sun shade. This one retracts like an umbrella and really, doesn’t seem like a massive difference but it is so convenient.Also comes with this leather holder for the sun shade and it’ll fit in a cup holder. Quality isn’t bad either.

This is the best windshield cover ever. So easy to use. Beats the pleaded cover . Exceeded my expectations!

1. the button to slide the little umbrella open is really tight. May be difficult for people with hand issues to open. Closes easier, but still tough to get the button to unlatch.2. the sheath provided for the umbrella is awful. It is too small and bad plastic. throw it away. a travel shoe bag with a drawstring top works a whole lot better. this umbrella is not easy to close and then smash down to fit it into the tiny thing the manufacturer provides. note, the umbrella did not come “inside” the sheath, they probably couldn’t get it in there either.3. it does work well as a sun shield. i have a Toyota Venza 2021, a medium size car.
