Idea for air travel
This case is exactly what you need if you plan on taking your firearm on a plane ride. Had absolutely no issues at the airport using this case. Good, sturdy and takes up little space in your luggage. My Taurus 9mm fit perfectly. Money well spent.

Indeed airline friendly
Does indeed pass using on airlines. I had a cross country trip planned and once I got to my arrivals point to pick up a U haul and drive 3000 miles, I wanted to travel with protection. Just to be careful and legal enough to fly with a fire arm, I bought this case to use on my checked in baggage. I declared the gun at check in, they mood got heavy and they indeed checked the case was of the required type and no more problems. I kept it by my side on the drive back home and since then its kept my hog leg safe and sound. The price was a good one and the purpose of purchase was met. Zero regrets buying

S&W shield 9mm 2.0
Fits gun and magazine with room for 1 or 2 more magazines if needed. Closing the box is a tight fit (not sure if foam will soften up after some use ) but feels secure when locked.

Does it's job
Ok I have seen complaints about the thickness of this safe, as you can see from the photos I was able to place my M&P 2.0 Compact with my JM4 magnetic holster and two seperate magazines and one in the gun so 3 total and the sides were completely sealed. Now here is the negative and why I only gave it 4 stars. Having the magazine in place under the barrel and close to the locking mechanism, when I closed the case the third time it slightly bent the lock and I was unable to open the safe with a key. I was forced to break into it, which took me about 5-10 minutes because I didn't want to wreck the safe. Keep in mind this is a 22.00 safe and not an 80.00 one. I found I was easily able to break into with a screw driver and the reason is because of my holster and magazine placement I had a lot of pressure pushing up on the safe. Once I removed the holster and repositioned the Magazine I was unable to pry it open again without doing damage, so I stopped. The sides of the safe are completely sealed all the way around. I am not a fan of the cable and I will probably replace it later, but I knew that before I purchased it. The locking mechanism on the top lid is easy to bend so don't place anything in a spot that it's going to hit it as you apply pressure to close. I could simply trim down the padding but I like how thick it is and not having my holster in the safe is not a big deal to me. I also have an easy pull slide attachment to the back of the gun and still have plenty of room. I would easily recommend this for a larger gun. The slide attachment is a good inch in length giving me enough room for a 5in barreled gun and still having some room. This safe fits perfectly in one of my side storage compartments in my SUV leaving it completely concealed in my vehicle as well. I can get into it quickly and be shooting in seconds if need be. Safes this size are not full proof, lets face it. I decided to go with a cheaper one to start to see how much and how I would actually use it. I have so far used it in my bedroom at night in a place I could get to it quickly and have hidden the key in a different place that is with in arms reach. I also use this to travel to the range, and while I am in my local store. I keep my gun on me most of the time so it rarely see's my larger safe and having something portable allows me to keep up with local gun laws. In reality my SUV is probably a bigger deterrent than this safe but knowing someone would have to first break into my SUV and then find the safe, cut the cable and steal the safe or attempt to open it on location if they had the tools, gives me piece of mind. One of the best features of this safe is the hinges are inside and not out. Outside hinges are much easier to remove the pin or break all together. As I started to say in the opening was this is a 20 gauge metal safe rather than the thicker 16 gauge. What I found was it's durable steel, even when over filled it did not dent or bend the steal upward except when I had to much at the lock location, I am sure this would be an issue with every safe of this type. If your looking for something that will give you piece of mind and allow you to travel with your gun safely(no pun intended) give this one a try, if your shopping in the price range. If your looking for dead bolt type security look for safes $90 and up. This is as good as any of the other safes I seen in this price range and believe I looked at them all, the only other one I did consider was the Club at $36 bucks. For a trial run this fit the bill and does the job, I am happy with the purchase, and I will order another one if needed. I will update my review if problems occur done the road but I don't foresee that at this time as I have opened and close this safe upwards of a 100x and no issues. The items have all stay in their original position regardless of the safes position or location. You can carry like a book, toss it on your couch, tip it upside down, or drop it at the range by mistake and nothing inside moves or gets damaged. On a final note, after breaking into this safe, I was surprised that there was damage from prying and the metal wasn't scratched or bent after I released the pressure.

Gun Box
Very nice box with foam protection for your gun and room for your mags. Key lock is nice.

Great travel case!
This is a great travel case with an easy to use lock! I like that it comes with a cord for the car and the overall construction. It fits one four inch barrel death seed distributor, and two ten round magazines snuggly!

Great value and does the job
There's ample room her for my Taurus 85 .38 special plus a small plastic container holding an extra 5 rounds (my weapon doesn't use a removable mag). I keep this case open and within reach in my bedroom and then lock and stow it away safely when I'm leaving the house. The box feels hefty and prying eyes would have a tough time opening it without a key. I'm happy with this purchase.
