I used these to secure my Philips Hue outdoor striplights to the eaves of my porch. As it's at the front of the house and close to the street, I didn't want to rely on the flimsy plastic clips to hold everything in place & stay secure, so I used these to pin both the striplight and the power cables to the oak beams. Very sharp and went into the wood without splitting it.
