Great cosplay knife for Ren Fest-NOT FOR KIDS
First-This is a cosplay item for ADULTS-NOT KIDS.It has a lead warning and, the steel, though unsharpened, is heavy and would hurt if struck with it.Now, that said, for those disappointed because it isn't sharp, has a plastic hilt and sheath and could be broken fairly easily if mishandled or used as something other than a prop. I am amazed you thought you were getting a legit weapon for $11.00.I purchased it for my Ren Fest costume and it's much better than I expected for the price. Even if I only get a few uses out of it, it is so totally worth it. Every festival I've attended has a hard and fast rule about having any sharp blades on the grounds. One person commented that even with this one, they glued it shut so as not to have an entry issue. That is an act of a good and wise human, people who attend Ren Festivals and Medieval Fairs are kind, fun, respectful and gentle people. You dress as silly or authentic as you want with ZERO snark from other guests. No one makes fun of anyone, and staring is a compliment from those too shy to walk up and compliment the ensemble. I have seen some of the coolest handmade outfits ever at these events. This prop blade is perfect.Be reasonable... It's so obviously for show... Just saying', use your brain.

FABULOUS SURPRISE!!
We bought this as a costume prop and expected it to be fairly flimsy and cheap. We received a fabulous surprise! This is seriously solid and high-quality! It is quite sharp and is definitely not a toy that should be played with by children. It served its purpose and was a lot of fun. But Parents beware!

Nice dagger but not for kids
This could genuinely hurt someone. It's blunted but has sharp edges still. Other than that, it's an amazing prop for my cosplay! I am concerned by a disclaimer on the box that says this product may expose you to harmful chemicals including lead, does anyone know anything about that? I couldn't find anything anywhere on the listing.

The whole dagger is metal.
I got this as a prop for cosplay/LARP/costume accessory. The price was good for what I thought was a plastic prop blade. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was a metal dagger. I would like. It's sharpness to an oversized letter opener and it has a fine point. It may complicate things for some events so I will likely but another cheap plastic one but this one looks and feels amazing! Am thrilled with the value of what I spent vs what I got.

Fun little letter opener for $10 shipped!
Well i was not expecting much for $10, i was however expecting a slight edge.It looks like there was an edge, that was then ground off.Overall this thing looks pretty good, i wanted it for a fun box opener for my toolbox. The edge made that impossible...The metal is also pretty thin and soft, i can press on the blade to make it flex, and there it will stay!In the end, I spent a good hour with a fine thin belt sander giving the blade a new profile.Part of that caused me to heat up and lightly quench the metal.Mostly so i don't melt the plastic handle...After some grind work, now it's a box opener!!I noticed i can also pull on the pommel to pull it off, I'm hoping i can do the same with the handle and guard. If i can, then into the kiln it will go for some heat treatment... lolFor $10, it's not terrible. However when i was a kid i got a much better dagger for $7 (90's)...Makes me feel old! š¶

Itās real lol
I thought prop meant fake. Not mad about it just letting others know in case they donāt read things like myself apparently. My 8 year old son was stoked but weāre not keeping it lol.

Exactly as I expected
Exactly as I expected. It totally reminds me of the weaponāāNeedleā that Arya Stark uses in the Game of Thrones series. Itās exactly what I was hoping for.

Tiny, Weak, Needs to be marketed as a whimsical LetterOpener ONLY
Sharpie for scale: itās ridiculously tiny. Pommel snapped off. There is No tang - itās a toy; soft, carvable plastic inside instead. Dangerous semi-edge.Pros: Itās pretty, and the scabbardās a good fit Cons: handle is NOT metal, tiny, fragile, silly. But truly⦠This would be great ONLY if maybe, say, you were staging a toddler version of LotR, but otherwise this isnāt a costume piece, isnāt a prop, it would be absolute disaster to use in anything resembling stage combat (canāt even take a drop to the floor) -so, itās a waste. Hypothetically useful as something for people who obsess about buying display-only items in āfunsizeā. Super disappointed this was marketed as a short sword or dagger - itās neither. Itās a toy letterOpener. 13.5ā includes scabbard; the actual āknifeā is under 12 inches, the actual edge/blade length barely clears 7 inches.
