Metal Treat is for removal of minerals that cause stains in pools and spas Directions Step 1: Add 16 fl. oz. per 10,000 gallons of water of normal hardness and mineral content. If the water is extremely hard (over 300 ppm) or has high iron, copper or manganese content (over 0.1 ppm), double the initial dosage. Step 2: Metal Treat preventative maintenance, following initial treatment, add 4 fl. oz. per 10,000 gallons of pool water once a week, to take care of make-up water.
