This shower seat is dangerous! I had it professionally installed. The seat is not screwed onto the frame in the back, so it can pop off when you lean forward. Well, it popped off when I leaned forward, and I fell flat on my butt in the shower and hurt myself. Do not buy this if you care about your safety or someone else's. Now my new shower surround is ruined because this was connected right to it. If I remove it, then I will need to patch it. I think the seller should buy me a new shower surround and have it installed. I am so upset and sore!

Some relatives have had shower chairs/benches, and it proved helpful for safer conditions during a shower. All the products I've encountered were standalone devices, that would sit inside the tub or shower stall. Some would straddle the edge of the tub, with the seating inside the shower area. This is the first one that requires wall mounting.Unfortunately, since the circumstances where this chair would be used prevent drilling into the bathroom/shower wall, this product cannot be installed. I have to confess that the error was mine, for not fully digesting the requirements for this shower seat.The design and materials of the product appear to be good quality. In fact, the design is well done, with an attempt to minimize the space occupied by the seating when not in use. So, it's not the same obstacle as a typical standalone chair. This way, others that don't utilize the chair can be free to use the shower in a relatively normal fashion. (Obviously the chair, when folded up against the wall still takes up space.)We can't install the product, with no fault of the product. So, basing the rating on the quality of the design, materials and construction, it earns a 4.25 star rating. If you can drill holes in your wall, and you are comfortable and capable (especially if you're drilling into tiles) with the task, then this product deserves serious consideration.

It was shipped and arrived in good condition with all parts included. The instructions were good as to how to assemble it, but not clear as to how to attach it to the wall. Since my husband is good at those things, it was not a problem. However, there were two extra plastic backed sets of screws and some things that looked like drywall anchors. It was not clear what they were for, but since we were going directly into a treated 2 by 4 we just needed the other screws that they provided. It seems sturdy enough when attached to the wall properly. psl

I'm super disappointed that this doesn't work as a stand alone shower seat. I know that it says wall mounted, but I assumed from some of the pictures that you could also use it as a stand alone seat too. NOPE!! This ONLY works when mounted to a wall. We tried using it by itself and that was a total flop. Literally!! It's extremely frustrating, because all of our showers have tile in them and I don't want to drill through tile. We are only going to need this temporarily, so I don't want to cause permanent damage to the tile. We did put it together before we figured out that you had to mount it. It arrived in a crunched up box and the hardware was loose throughout the box. We were missing a few screws, so it was a major pain in the butt to put together. The directions are written in broken English and sparse. The materials and manufacturing of this seat are subpar. There's absolutely no way the seat could support up to 330 pounds. I do like that the legs have 3 adjustable heights and rubber tips on the bottom. Overall I'm unimpressed. This is an overpriced shower seat that's mediocre quality.

It was not clear front he picture or description but this must be mounted to the wall, it will not stand on its own. So if you live in a rental or can’t drill in your bathroom you’re SOL.

This Sangohe Wall mount seat is absolutely amazing! I actually wanted to get this for my grandma as she is aging and her back is not well. I always would wish her the best health as I am j always with her. Her back is getting more weak, so I got this Shower chair for her, and these are some of her opinions into just after a few days! It arrived in a fabulous condition and all the parts were included! The instructions were clear and it was easy to assemble the chair, though I had to go help her with this. It’s sturdy and durable and is very stable! The workmanship is outstanding and the quality is luxurious! The seat is comfortable to sit on and is not to hard. The seat is pretty wide and is not cramped into a little ledge. Overall everything is amazing, however this stool/seat could only be mounted into the wall, which I had no problem with it, but they could have included this on the descriptions! Overall my grandma love this and I am so glad she does! Highly recommended!!!

I am sure this is a good product. Returning because it would not fit on my bathtub. It did not give enough space to mount on the wall. Wish it would have worked.
