UPDATE - although I adore this coffee maker, it is literally impossible to find a replacement carafe to go with it. Hamilton Beach website has been out of stock for months, and I have googled my brains out but there are no part 990241400 carafes anywhere, and no parts for this model 46200. Not even ebay has it! What gives? It's the perfect coffee pot, why not provide replacement carafes so I don't have to buy a whole new coffee maker? I am so bummed. This is the 3rd coffee maker I have tried in 3 months, the other two I returned after 2 days. This one checks all the boxes! COMPACT, easy to use, timer program, auto shutoff, lit clock, adjustable brew strength, easily accessable water compartment, and a fantastic NO DRIP coffee pot! And, it makes excellent coffee for half the price of the ones I returned! I am so glad I found this Hamilton Beach 12 Cup Compact coffee maker! Been using it a few weeks now, no issues whatsoever.

This has been one of the best coffee makers we have ever had!

The only reason I did not give this product 5 stars is because it did not come with a reusable basket. I have to use the disposable ones or purchase a separate basket. We have been using this coffee pot for a week now. Both my husband and myself have set it up with ease. The pour spout is perfect. There have been no spills. It gets and stays very hot. I personally have to add an ice cube to my coffee now but my husband is thrilled that he has steaming hot coffee. The clock is easy to set. The timer is easy also. I will say though, we live in a studio apartment. There are no walls to separate the kitchen from the bedroom. And the light on the machine is very bright! Like crazy bright. So much so that I have been able to unplug one of my nitelights. We are very happy with our purchase and recommend it to others. It is a great value. It was delivered fast and packaged well.

I read a ton of reviews and here are my 2 cents: this is the one I kept. Do people not understand that coffee grounds absorb water? I saw so many complaints that water up to the 6-cup mark did not equate to 6 cups in the carafe. So add another few ounces of water! This has a delay brew option which I use from time to time. The 2 hour keep-hot window works well, coffee is kept hot through that whole 2 hours. The cover that opens to pour water in doesn't drip down the back when you open it. I got creative with a silicon straw which helped cut down on the small amount steam that comes up from the sides.

After having new quartz countertops installed we found that they made our counter just a little bit to high for our old coffee maker to fit underneath so I was glad to find this one because it is shorter than the other one that we had before. We loved this coffee maker for it's size and simplicity however it lasted 11 months until it was dead. I would probably look a little harder for a different short coffee maker next time. I found no warranty information so it went into the trash

This is probably the only coffee maker I have ever owned that pours without dripping! Haven't tried the delay brew feature yet, but makes good coffee. I always make full pots so don't know how well it works for making smaller amounts.

So my nice old Hamilton Beach coffee maker lasted about 10 years and then the no-drip feature (when you pull the pot out and pour some before it completes the full brewing cycle). began to drip. I ordered this coffee maker, which is similar to the old one but does not drip. It’s similar but the water chamber on the new one is a tiny little window that doesn’t go down below 4 cups, so if you just want less than 4 cups, it’s anyone’s guess just how much water to put in. And on the new one there is no way to remove the water chamber and pour some water out if you pour too much in. And on the new one, the water chamber is right next to the place where you put the filter and the coffee in, which shouldn’t be a big deal except if you miss, and the water sloshes on your coffee. Which is only a problem for people like me who set things up the night before, and just want to push a button when we wake up and coffee starts to brew. And on the new one, the distinctive red little light is now a pinkish glow around the on/off button. And on the new one the clock has a bright blue display which seems like nothing except when you stumble into the kitchen at 6am and it’s dark everywhere else, you get a REALLY BRIGHT BLUE glow that makes you want to have a pair of sunglasses nearby. Which all kind of makes me wonder why the idiots at Hamilton Beach couldn’t have just designed a new coffee maker without all of these stupid new features that makes their product WORSE and not better. The only thing this new one improves upon is it does not drip when I pull it out after it brews half a cup, but neither did my old one until recently. In the end, I decided to send the new one back because I’d rather live with a little drip than with all the other small annoyances that add up to one big level of ongoing dissatisfaction with companies that can’t let well enough alone, and screw up the simplest product.
