Great Product.
Husband Loves these. They work great for him at work. uses as an undershirt. He bought four more to have enough for whole week. This keeps the sweat from staining your top shirt.! Seam quality is great. length is perfect. Size is snug because it is an undershirt. - so if you consider it is a snug undershirt i feel it is true to size.

For SEVERE hyperhidrosis... FINALLY a solution!
I have suffered severe hyperhidrosis since I was a teenager. It was something I suffered in silence... for a young woman, it was quite embarrassing: I couldn't wear cute colors, cute clothes, and had to always be secretly daubing at my dripping underarms with napkins or tissue. Fellow-sufferers know just what I'm talking about. Severe hyperhidrosis can be -- no, correction; IS -- a socially-debilitating condition. It is truly awful. Now in menopause and my early 50's, my sweating thankfully has reduced significantly. BUT the great news is that you -- the younger heavy-sweating folks of today -- have a non-surgical and drug-free solution in this fantastic new shirt. Wow, how I wish this product was available 20-30 years ago. I can't even imagine how awesome this would have been to have had in my ealier (heavy-sweating) days. ONE OF MY THREE SONS had the unfortunate luck of inheriting my hyperhidrosis gene. He has hyperhidrosis bad. He sweats bullets, buckets; it's okay for guys to sweat though, right?!? ... I thought "oh it's good you're not a girl," but trust me it's still bad for him. He's told me this often. And it DOES bother him. He's in college now, and he recently sent me a photo of his sweat marks and said, "Mom, this is just ridiculous... there has to be something I can do for this." I went online to continue my search for solutions, as I have done for the past several years for both my sake and his. We have looked into alternate solutions like drugs, and extreme solutions like botox and surgery. None of which we are willing to do for various reason which I won't go into here (although certainly money is one of them.) Then... something promising! I stumbled upon the Thompson Tee while doing more Googling (sweat-proof shirts, no sweat clothing, etc.) After reading the description, checking the reviews on Amazon, and then further exploring the Thompson Tee website, I was convinced this was at least a very good step in the right direction! But I was reticent to get too excited just yet because the "footprint" of the underarm barrier didn't look nearly as big as the sweat stain in the photo my son had sent me. I thought, "surely he would sweat right through this thing, right?" So I contacted the people at Thompson Tee via email, explaining my doubt that this would work for my son's particular case. This was their quick reply: "Have you tried our shirts yet? Our Hydro-Shield has an absorbent layer that will absorb more than a regular shirt will, so it's protective ability is greater than what the sweat mark on regular shirts show. All our shirts come with an unconditional guarantee even if they've been worn/washed so feel free to try it out." Now I was really encouraged. I was so hopeful that I ordered one for my son right away. But I still didn't want to believe this could really be a solution until we actually tested it out. Or rather, my SON tested it out. So fast-forward to Christmas break, the order arrives, my son is home from college and available to test out the new "sweat-proof" shirt. He first wore it to a friend's house one night, and said it worked fine. But it was a low-key evening; not a really good test of the tee shirt. The real test was going to be a few nights later when he went to a night club where there would be LOTS of old and new friends to meet, lots of dancing and socializing, and most likely an overly-warm temperature in the place. From my memory of my own hyperhidrosis, this would *definitely* be one of the best tests for the tee. The results came in the day after the big evening: I asked him how the shirt worked and if it helped. He grinned in amazement and said, "Wow, Just Wow! I really thought it would be soaking wet and uncomfortable, because I know I sweated A LOT. I thought the sweat had to be showing somewhere ... but somehow it seemed to absorb it all. I totally had Z.E.R.O. wet stains on my shirt. It helped a TON!" So if you've read my review this far, my advice is this: Go give this shirt a real test drive as soon as you can. The company has fantastic customer support, and you can return it after 30 days even if you've worn and washed it (and sweat in it, haha) with no strings attached! I'll bet if you really do have severe hyperhidrosis you will be singing praises for this product, too! Thanks Thompson Tee inventor.

Life saver for heavy sweaters, not a complete solution, not very durable
The most important thing for me is that this product works. The puffy underarms pads do their work well. It is a little puffy, but that never bothered me. Most wouldn't realize this, but people with hyperhydrosis know how refreshing it would be to be able to wear colors and be able to move your arms freely without worrying about showing sweat stains. This lets be do both. Cons: - works for most days but not for extremely heavy sweating - still works few washes later, but I can see it getting old. Much less durable than most clothes. - Not budget friendly. If there was more competition in the space, I'd probably give it a 3. But based on how much it improved my life, and I already repurchased it, it gets a solid 4.

Looks good and does the job!
Bought this black sweat-blocking shirt specifically for wearing under a black dress-shirt and a rather heavy coat. My youngest daughter was getting married and the usual nerves were in play. I tend to sweat heavily in general, and much worse from the arm pits. Even when I was assisting in removing and stacking chairs, bring down lights and loading cars with food .. and sweating like a racehorse .. my dress shirt remained dry and there was no odor even at the end of a very active and a bit nerve-wracking night! I purchased the long-cut white version of this same shirt for wear under a mostly white dress shirt and suit, for the wedding of my older daughter a few years back. It was in a warmer, more humid climate and it performed just as well. I have washed the white one twice, and the black one once and there has been no decrease in sweat absorption, or odor protection. The shirts did not shrink with washing. I don't use this type of shirt daily, only for situations where it really counts. They are expensive, as t-shirts go, but given their purpose and effectiveness, I think they're worth it.

REAL & Fully THOUGHT-OUT review.....
If you want a REAL & THOUGHT-OUT review that isn't just thrown at you by a bitter person read on..... If you actually work at a fast physical pace and don't want to ever have to deal with underarm sweat even having hyperhidrosis or not, this is the best thing you can buy. I think that's what a review should reflect: If you are looking for a solution to pit sweating that isn't from a doctor than this is the best thing any can find. If there is anything anyone dislikes about how well this undershirt does it's job, I honestly mean no offense, but they need to Seek Medical Attention Immediately for any number of possible medical issues. What I mean by that is if this doesn't completely hide your exterior sweat issues then I can vouch for the fact that there are not other options besides seeing a doctor. I have hyperhidrosis (already seen a doctor for it) and I ruined my entire wardrobe out of denial and stupidity, plus having to try other cheaper attempts at a medical solution before my insurance will cover Botox. I sweat so severely that I've tried absorbing pads meant for under the armpit, I've tried other solutions like panty liners and I've tried other under shirts with similar padding. In the past I've picked shirts meant to show as little sweat as possible so when I'm at work I don't look disgusting because I have so much sweat under my arms. I can honestly tell you after trying this product on my busiest hottest most active days... It. Didn't. Show. Anything. I won't lie, I'm a little upset reading negative reviews because none of them seem to focus on the entire point of the shirt: the fact that it actually works and it does its job as well as promised. Now, if I was being pessimistic I would consider saying something like 'it makes you sweat more because it's so thick and makes you hotter'. HOWEVER, all undershirts will have that effect and 'WHO CARES?' because no one will SEE the sweat and it WICKS it right up under your armpits. As a matter of fact at the end of my sweatiest day this month my armpits felt drier than the rest of my torso and back because of the absorbent material under the arms. Because of this shirt I have finally felt for the first time in a year-and-a-half that I am not wasting my money rebuilding my whole stock of completely ruined shirts. I actually spent hundreds of dollars on new dress shirts because I finally feel like I won't ruin them in 2 wears anymore. Sizing was spot-on for standard t-shirt fitting. I'll read negative reviews and again I'm not out to bash those who haven't actually thought it through. But, based on a standard shirt bought at a standard store it fits bout spot on and anyone who still thinks it should be skin tight is missing the point of the product (not just to soak up sweat but to help wick up and 'air out' your pits). So it's good size wise as long as you don't base your sizing on somewhere like Abercrombie & Fitch or some store that uses different sizing as a sales technique because you have the opportunity to try it out in the store so you think everything else is sized wrong. Now I feel I should address reviews who complain about how it didn't actually evaporate the moisture that it wicked up, yet still wicked it up and still never saw it on the outside. First of all, if you're sweating A LOT consider the science of fluids. Water isn't normally capable of evaporating as fast as some ppl sweat. Second, I looked closer at the ones I saw saying this and they were wearing things like a jacket for 2 hours or have on something skin tight and not breathable. No rocket scientist needed here to figure out why the moisture couldn't evaporate, not the products fault, but perhaps user's miss interpretation of this product's technology. Also, for those who want the length of the arms to be shorter cut you're kinda missing the point of the shirt again and don't seem to realize how far down your arm the sweat will run or spread to. Something to keep in mind for sizing is that you may want your undershirt to be a size smaller than the shirt you wear on the top layer so it is not as easily seen underneath that shirt or cause extra wrinkles under a dress shirt. Not a bash on the product though. Lastly, as far as it holding up in the washer I haven't had a single problem with it and I have washed my first two shirts five times with a little bit of detergent, vinegar water, and dish soap each time. Now, it's just an opinion, but I think that anyone who complains about it getting holes after one wash or not holding up in the washing machine should consider actually using that setting labeled 'gentle' or consider getting a new washing machine. Bottom line is it holds up just as well as any shirt I have, and better than ones that cost twice as much. "This is what all undershirts should be like."

9-inch Diameter Sweat rings? PLEASE READ
This is my review of the Thompson Tee Regular Crewneck shirt in the large fitment. It was a week before my interview and instead of preparing myself mentally, I was dreading the future event immensely...I've been a sweaty person most of my adult life and I ONLY sweat under my armpits. It does not matter if its 10 degrees outside or if I'm in the driest place on Earth my pits will always be super saturated. I've noticed over the years that around certain people, like my immediate family and really close friends, I do not sweat around them. But again, this is never 100% I would say its about 30/70, 70 being the chance that I will sweat around really close ones. Unfortunately, if we are doing anything in public is supersoak time. And By the way, when I mean I sweat under my pits, I don't mean those little 2x1 sweat pits, I'm talking I'm talking sweat rings with the diameter of like 8 or 9 inches! Sometimes more!!So if you can relate to this then please listen! I ordered the shirt as a last ditch effort, subconsciously KNOWING it would not work for me because I sweat A LOT. I received the package very fast in fact, a few days earlier than expected. When I opened it I was shocked at how thick and dare I say: Diapery the hydro-shield was. I felt let down because during inspection (holding it up to a light), it looked like a thick piece of cotton that you can see through. And we all know that no amount of cotton can stop our sweaty armpits. Later that night, when my wife and I had to go to Wal-Mart, I curiously slipped on the Thompson Tee and wore a lime green shirt over it. By now, you understand that I can sweat through that in less than a minute...but I wanted to put it to the test before I wore it to my interview. I checked my pits every ten minutes or so and nothing at all every time.It did not make and detectable noise for me to hear. And it felt like a warm towel under my armpits because it absorbed the sweat really well. The shirt manufacturer states that the sweat absorbed will evaporate with the natural bellow-like movement your arms create when moving them. It isn't like you have to go around flapping like a bird, instead its the natural movements for example: moving your arms walking, lifting things up, any action that sways your arms up down or side to side, etc. Success!, a whole trip without sweat marks on my outer shirt I was SOLD, I turned the shirt inside out and allowed the shirt to dry so I could use it during the interview. The next morning, and I'm getting ready for my interview. I had full faith in my Thompson Tee and wore a ultra light blue long sleeve polo( a shirt my wife bought me that I never wore). I was nerve wracked but this time it was not because of my sweating it was because of the actual interview. FAILURE, I looked down late in my 2 hour interview and my heart sank. The sweat had made its way under the hydroshield and I had sweat marks in the midsection of my ribs. That only made me more nervous and the remaining time I was no longer looked confident as I had to hold my arms kinda like a t-rex to try and hide my sweat. After I got done with the interview I sprinted to my truck. I was honestly devastated but I was intent on making my purchase worth it so I tried to figure out what went wrong. I believe it was the fact that it was long sleeve. I would highly recommend not wearing a long sleeve shirt if you have hyperhidrosis like me and plan on sitting down for 2 hours of an intense nerve wracking event. That being said I actually got the job. When I went to orientation I knew they would throw me in a blue uniform and put me to work so I wore my thompson tee and a white nike dry fit over it. The uniform had not came in yet so they handed me a grey shirt. I went to the bathroom and decided to just put the grey shirt over both the thompson tee and the nike dry fit. I worked from 7am til 4:13pm that day and NOT A SINGLE SWEAT MARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited I wore the three shirt all day until 9pm and still nothing!! I was amazed at how adding a thin breathable shirt like a nike dryfit over my thompson tee completely fixed all my problems. The thing is that your armpits get so sweaty because there is usually always pressure on your shirt in that area. I admit the sweat leaked under the hydroshield just as it did during the interview but working all day and not sitting down stressed out helped alot and I believe another shirt is all you need to stop that under the hydroshield sweat because you dont have a lot of friction on your ribs the whole day. It worked for me and it will work for you too buy one and test it out I'm only 19 years old and I would spend my last $25 dollars on this shirt if I had to. I've used it approximately 6 times already and it works every time. I plan on using my first check to buy 5 of them for the work week! Don't live your life wearing only black shirts like I did, I'm speaking from the heart IT WORKS. -Stevan **** UPDATE**** Here is an update over a year after this review! I've since acquired 3 more Thompson tees and wear them every day I work. I still work for the same company which supplies us with a blue uniform shirt, a color that I could not ever wear during my adult life before Thompson tee. I also still have my very first Thompson tee and it works the same as it did the first day I wore it. A year ago I told y'all that perphaps wearing a long sleeve shirt would hinder the Thompson tee. I found that to be false as I mainly wear a long sleeve shirt at work and have never seen a drop of sweat on it. I also stated that I stated that wearing a thin shirt over the Thompson would full proof it. That indeed is still true but I've found the MOST effective way to use the tee shirt is to avoid wearing tight t shirts over it. I'm not saying you have to wear a oversized shirt, just not a tight one. I found evaporation of sweat gathered by the Thompson tee is most effective outside where air is circulating through wind and the sun is drying out the sweat. But do not worry as I've worn it inside all day plenty of times and still no sweat. Keep in mind that the sweat does seep under the padding of the Thompson tee but it will not show on the outer shirt as long as there isn't continuous pressure in that area for a long time. Just the contact of it against the Thompson tee will not make the outer shirt wet.

It keeps the sweat off your shirts and out of sight - it works.
I read most of the reviews before spending nearly $30 on this shirt and while the majority of them were positive, some of the negatives ones were troubling. However, after only one day of wearing this shirt I am very satisfied with it's performance and will be purchasing several more in the future. I have always, since puberty, sweated heavily under my arms - soaking through max strength deodorant, an undershirt, a shirt, and sometimes even a light coat of sweater. I bought this Thompson Tee in the hopes of being able to stem the tide and reclaim my nicely colored shirt and confidence without worrying about the giant dark sweat rings! Pros: 1. It works. It prevents the sweat from reaching your outer clothing. I wore it an entire work day beneath a dress shirt and a coat.. and still have a dry work shirt! No rings, no stains. 2. It's comfortable, it fit as expected (I got a large and wear a 34/35 dress shirt). It's soft, form fitting, and stayed tucked in. Cons: I do not consider these as a fault of the product, but they are worth mentioning. 1. You will still sweat.. and yes, as others have mentioned, the pads will hold sweat against skin. You can feel it. It's not uncomfortable, as it is something I've dealt with for the past 20 years, but it may be off putting to some people. And yes, it does create a "billowing" effect to draw air into your underarms, but if you sweat excessively (like I assume you do) it will not entirely dry up. 2. The under padding in the arms does take some getting used to... it's just thicker beneath your pits, but again not uncomfortable. There is sort of a diaper effect, but I expected that. The bottom line is that this thing kept my dress shirt dry - it gave the appearance that I do not sweat. Nice, clean, dry under arms after a 10 hour day of wearing a long sleeve shirt and coat. I took off the coat to eat lunch and behold, no rings! It was an enjoyable difference to be able to wave at people or give an open armed hug. If you just want to keep sweat off your shirts and out of public scrutiny, this shirt will do it. I plan to update this review after I see how well it holds up to constant sweating and washing. UPDATE: This past weekend I wore my Thompson Tee to take family photos in lightly colored dress shirts, which is always a nightmare for me. I am so happy to report that after being caught outside in the afternoon sun for over an hour, my baby blue dress shirt was dry as a bone! It is the first time in decades that I comfortably and confidently had photos taken without worrying about keeping my underarms hidden. That seals the deal, Thompson Tee's are my undershirts from now on.
