I have not had it come undone when walking my dogs no matter how much they pull on the leash.The bungee portion of the leash reminds me of a paracord. It's sturdy and holds it's shape well, yet it's also stretchy and allows movement. The only issue I have with the length of the leash is that it can be a trip hazard if the pet walks beside you or hangs back.I did notice that if the hooks are put to the outside and the dogs pull on the leash, it could cause your hip to be yanked in a certain direction. It could hurt or cause injuries over time. This leash is awesome! Even though my dogs are under 15 lbs, when it's time to take a walk they are always yanking me and my arm so fast it's more like a jog than a walk. With this I don't have to take so much strain on my arm and wrist to control them because my lower waist takes the majority of the pull. This Allows me to hold it lightly and then correct my dog as needed if my dog tries to run under my leg or chase a bird. At first I tried to put it on my waist like a belt but even at the tightest area it was too big but if I put it lower around my hips it works perfect and that is a better center of gravity to control my dog. This would work for any size dog because of the it's thick sturdy and well made. I like that it's reflective so it's great for evening walks which is what we have to do here in Arizona with 118 degree days. I also like that it's black with red accents. I always struggle to hold my leash and deal with cleaning up dog poo, I usually had to step on the leash and hope my pup didn't get away.
