How could you resist a cool box that looks as cute and retro as this? Looks aside, this thing was much better than I'd feared.It says you'll get "up to 24 hours" of cold from it, I managed to get a full 48 hours out of it in the middle of a UK summer!As with all ice boxes, there are the same rules to follow. Chill or freeze everything first, make sure there isn't loads of wasted space and make sure you add ice blocks and/or ice to it. You'll also need to minimise opening and closing the lid constantly.I packed the cool box on Friday morning at 9am and on Sunday morning around the same time, my last bottle of water (which I'd frozen prior to packing the cool box) still had a little bit of ice left inside it!Perfect for days out, short camping trips and for taking food and drinks to a friend of a family's house for a summer barbecue - a great little buy!I've only knocked off one star because although the lid seems relatively secure, I'd prefer a hinged lid rather than a fully removable lid and I wasn't a fan of the leather strap which can be a faff to adjust.

Oh my word, love this polar box, can't wait for a wee bit of sunshine so we can have a wee picnic!!

The product itself is of good quality, however, the item is not the same colour as the picture. I specifically wanted the green box with pink writing as this was a gift that I wanted to customise and purchased pink vinyl to match with. The box is green with yellow writing and strap which is not nearly as attractive as the one I was thinking I was receiving.On trying to contact Doggy Brolly regarding this it took two emails and the intervention of Amazon. They made no apology for the fact that the item was not as pictured and just stated we don’t have that colour, send it back we will refund you. Either the picture needs updating so the customer gets what they are expecting or else the listing should be removed.
