Fast moving detective thriller
Great characters and an enthralling plot. A book that's very hard to put down. It'll keep you up all night wanting to know which path the characters will have to travel on and how much danger and intrigue they will meet on their way.

Great Story
I enjoyed this , the third book in the series, much better than the first and second books. I stuck with the series because the characters are so well drawn but the complicated plot twists of the first two are gone by book three. Government corruption , sleazy politicians and an almost rogue good guy and his team make this story very readable and of course as Declan is bundled off in a van, I want to find out what happens in book four.

BRILLANT READ
Came across this Author by change while looking for a series to fill the gap while waiting on the new JD Kirk's DCI Logan book to come out and oh boy have I found it. Love DI Walsh he is a tough cookie, some reviews saying the 3rd book is the best well I'm have way through the 4th and they just keep getting better and better, corrupt cops. MP's you don't know who is good or bad and his team are so interesting too

Page turning, fast paced and exciting to read
I am loving this series of books. The only reason for giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is that the grammar can be confusing. I would say the author needs a good editor, because some of the sentences are a bit hard to read, which any editor worth their pay should address. I get the impression the author is experienced in life and really knows how to spin an exciting tale, but perhaps lacks a formal education. It's a very minor complaint though and didn't put me off buying the entire series. I just had to read some sentences a few times before getting the point! Keep up the good work Jack and if you need a copy editor/proof reader, give me a buzz.

Excellent!
This is book #3 in the excellent DI Declan Walsh murder mysteries - and is the best yet as the series gets better and better. This tale follows on directly from book #2, Murder of Angels, and is full of political intrigue. Again, there is a plethora of suspects which did make my brain hurt a bit! There is also a disturbing twist in the tail.If you liked the previous books in the series, I suspect you'll enjoy this one even more 😉

Each novel is getting better...
What can I say? Started reading these on a recommendation. Not usually a fan of detective novels but pleasantly surprised by the style and pace. Very "modern". This third run out is for me the best to date. I am reminded more and more of a Dan Brown style approach where we have short chapters but which keeps a high tempo that (annoyingly at times!) makes you want to read the first lines of the next chapter only to then find you must read the rest. Took me a while to get into the various characters but the storyline keeps you tagged and the routes through the various scenarios are usually quite ingenious. Deserves a longer style novel form to flesh out some of the situations. I like the attention to detail around the various locations DI Walsh encounters - can almost feel I am in the room or village and as a history buff I always appreciate this extra context. Are these stand alone novels? Probably yes but in reality the links to the past novels are quite obvious and so you get a better sense of the journey by reading in sequence.

What an ending! Ready for Book 4.
Start with Book 1, preferably when you've plenty of time to get Book 2 completed immediately. These are great reads, intricate plots, great characters.

Another awesome read!!
Wow, I have no idea how this author conjures up these twists and turns. The amount of research to make the story believable and keep us guessing takes enormous creativity.I have already ordered the next one.

Naja ...

These Declan Walsh books keep getting better
Definitely the best so far. Character development has been great and the clever play on expectations about the characters and their reality leads the reader through many twists and turns in the plot. Looking forward to the next book.
