Finding Love at Mermaid Terrace: A heart-warming and feel-good village romance to curl up with

Another brilliant book by kate, she never disappoints. This is such a feel good story with romance and a wonderful happy ending. I would recommend this book.

Overall I liked the book but the end spoilt the whole thing, there was no need for what happened to Richie, ruined the book totally, it didn't make any difference to the plot so was just a horrible uncalled for twist

I think this has got to be my favourite book this year. So wonderfully written, with laugh out loud moments, and some new favourite sayings. Some tearful moments too but no spoilers from me. I think the best thing for Dan was Port Lowdy, it taught him humility and he learnt to love himself whilst also loving Tressa. Tressa didn't know what hit her when Dan came into her life, but boy did he do a lot of good. Tressa hasn't had it easy, always living in the shadow of her sister, and especially her relationship with her parents, not being good enough for them. Port Lowdy is full of wonderful people, with stories/backgrounds of their own, and although this book is packed full of life, you don't get lost in it, it flows beautifully and I would read it all over again quite easily. I wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful lighthearted uplifting novel and this fantastic writer.

I enjoyed this lighthearted book, warming to the main characters and the setting. However, some of the language is not accurate, I wonder if the book was proof read. Also, the fact the author is from Australia led to some errors: we call them ‘trousers’, not pants and you cannot get married on a beach in England. I wonder if some of the grammatical errors were also to do with this. These annoying errors did detract a bit from the story. Also, what artist leaves their brushes to soak in water? It ruins them!!

A beautiful read for those who love to wish upon a starfish !!Loved every page. Looking forward to reading more by the author.

Very good, but a sloppy ending (which most people probably enjoy!) Dog accident not very likely. Artist & reporter credible.

Easy reading, great for holidays or just sitting in the garden.It’s like a Doc Martin series but in a book.There were characters that have scope for books of their own as we have only glimpsed part of the lives of the people who live in Port Lowdy.

I wasn’t sure I would at the start but as I read on I couldn’t put it down great story ... even shed a tear
