Adorable, one of a kind, distressed and handmade wooden American flag earrings. Shepherd's hook earwires that I used are Nickel-free, lead free, .925 Sterling silver plated. I drew out the shape and they are hand-cut from poplar wood. Poplar is a strong wood but it is more lightweight. I'd say these earrings are light-medium in heaviness. Wood was hand-sanded and corners are shaped and smooth. Wooden flag earring portion measures 1 3/4" x almost 1 1/4" x 1/4" thick. Entire earring drop measures 2 1/2 inches long. I hand-painted the American flag on the wood using acrylic paint. The design wraps around all edges and I painted the flag on both sides so that you can see the flag on the backside if your hair is pulled back. I hand-painted 12 stars on each side of the flag and the entire earring was hand-distressed and corners hand-distressed. I wanted these to look worn, rustic, distressed with a lived-in Americana boho feel. I coated them with a matte protective spray to maintain the rustic feel but protect the paint. Each side and earring is one of a kind as they are hand-painted separately. No two will be the same.
