Animal Embroideries & Patterns: From 19th Century Vienna

This is a wonderful book! Like her other books, it is filled with page after page of colorful Berlin work charts, in different categories such as Cats, Dogs, Horses, Exotic Animals, Birds, etc. My favorite is the category of Children with Animals. The best thing is the section of black and white charts at the back of the book, I counted 40 of them! They are clear and easy to use, and coded for DMC floss, and DMC wool. I have all of Raffaella's books, and this may very well be her best. I can only hope that she will continue to produce more books like these!

My collection of needlepoint books wouldn't be complete without this book. I have both of Raffaella Serena's other books and love them. I have several other needlepoint books but her three are by far the best in my collection. I only wish there were more.

This book is a joy to read and dream of projects to come. It is divided into sections of what is being embroidered, such as children or animals. Unfortunately not all pictures have a pattern, but there are plenty patterns to keep you busy.

This is the book I've been searching for. I love the colorful Berlin charts of the past, yet they are impossible to find today. The black and white charts at the back of the book have been modernized with DMC floss colors, and are priceless in my opinion. This book, along with Raffaella's other title, Embroideries & Patterns of Ninteenth Century Vienna, are stars in my extensive needlework collection.

This book is an absolute must for all who are interested in Nineteenth Century European embroidery on canvas. There are many charted designs included, but many other illustrations are large and detailed enough to serve as charts in themselves. Even better than Embroideries and Patterns from 19th Century Vienna, and that's saying a lot!

Beautiful images, all the threads required are listed in the back in the various company names . Therefore could use this book anywhere in the world.

古い図案がいっぱいです。全部のチャートが載っているわけではありませんが、ちゃんとみやすいチャートがついています。ヨーロッパの古いチャートがお好きな方は満足すると思います。

Very good book with beautiful designs, nicely illustrated. For those, who likes vintage. I also recommend to buy the other books of Raffaella Serena.
