Premium Ball of Foot Cushion

"can once again run around without feeling discomfort, even indoors without shoes"
I ordered these for my daughter's boyfriend who hurt his foot. He says:“This item comes in two different sizes (small and large) and two different styles (single and dual anchor). I chose the dual anchor style since other reviews seem to suggest it does a better job of staying in place. I didn't know what size to get, so I started with a small and later got a large.“On both sizes the fabric part is quite comfortable. The texture of the fabric is very soft/smooth as are the seams/edging. The toe openings aren't too tight: they don't restrict movement or blood circulation at all and I don't find any aspect annoying. The dual anchor design has an extra strap between the 4th and smallest toes. I hadn't been sure what to expect this to feel like, but the extra anchor isn't all that noticeable and does a good job of giving it a more consistent positioning. (For reference, I am used to flip flops, but I particularly dislike constraints on my littlest toes.) With the small, the cut of the fabric is more of an exact fit. It stretches easily to the exact size of my foot without feeling particularly tight. It doesn't slip around at all on my foot when barefoot or when inside of socks and shoes. With the large, the cut of the fabric is looser (see comparison photo) but the two toe-straps keep it in the right place. It doesn't shift around excessively while barefoot; it only shifted slightly while I was running around in shoes, and it ended up in a position that was still comfortable—much more comfortable than without it.“The gel pad on the large is extremely comfortable to me: it's a good shape for my foot and provides great cushioning. I personally found the gel pad on the small to be uncomfortable (like balancing on a lump that's slightly smaller than the entire ball of the foot, where the perimeter edges of the gel pad are very noticeable under foot), but this issue is specific to foot size vs product size selection. I do have a fairly small shoe size—men's 6 in length (similar to a women's 7 ½)—so based on other reviews I initially guessed I'd be a small, but the large size's gel pad turned out to be a vastly better fit. At the end of the day, it seems like shoe size was a suboptimal predictor compared to actual product dimensions. See the attached comparison photos with a ruler shown for reference. The critical product dimension for the small is 3”: the gel pad on the small is approximately 3” wide, and it doesn't stretch along with the fabric part since the seams don't pull on it. The fabric part is about twice this in around-the-foot circumference while unstretched, although it stretches easily and having it a little stretched will make it fit more snugly. With the large, the width of the gel pad is about 3 ¾” across, and about twice this in unstretched around-the-foot circumference at the tightest part. (Although once again it does stretch easily. For reference, my foot is a bit under 9” in around-the-foot circumference and neither size felt too tight. However, if the ball of your foot is much wider than 4”, there's a greater risk that even the large might be uncomfortably small underfoot like how the small was for me.) Use this as guidelines for deciding which product size will be best for you.“Overall, even though the large is a bit looser around my foot, the dual anchor design holds it in place well enough and the gel pad is so comfortable that I'm very satisfied with the large dual anchor product. I can once again run around on my foot without feeling discomfort, even in indoor areas where I'm not supposed to wear shoes.“For reference, note that I do tend to carry weight on the balls and toes of my feet, which impacts how foot products will work for me. I do have somewhat bony feet, apparently with a wide bone structure, which also affects the fit. See the tape measure in the photos for how my foot size compares to yours. Also the product price was $15 at the time of the purchases.”

This is exactly what I needed.
I have aging feet that were damaged in my youth in gymnastics. I have arthritis in my feet and also get callouses on the balls of my feet that feel like I am walking with a rock in my shoe. It's very painful. I've tried gel inserts for shoes but they're hard to position right and then don't stick in place for long and they wouldn't work in my trainers that I exercise in. After a lot of searching I found these. I was a little skeptical, but I've worn them now for just casual walking around, for long exercise walks and in some hard sessions of cross-training. Even though some of the reviews are mixed, I can say that I am very happy with them. Are they perfect? No. But I haven't found a better solution for my foot problems yet. After reading other reviews, I decided to get the 2-anchor option. It seems awkward when you first put them on, but I don't feel them at all when I'm wearing them - other than the gel padding goodness under the balls of my feet. That second anchor seems to do the trick of keeping them in place and not sliding around. I have smaller feet - I wear a women size 6.5 - 7 US so the small size works well for me and covers all the area I need it to. If you have ball of foot pain, I'd recommend trying them. They're working out so well for me, I'll probably be ordering a second pair soon.

It works! Thank you Happy Feet!
I went through one surgery, the recovery took over 3 months and also a set of shots which didn't work - both very excruciating pain. Since the shots didn't work I decided to see if I could just find something that would relieve the pain a bit. I ordered the Happy Feet Premium Ball of Foot Metatarsal Cushions - Forefoot, Arthritis, Tendonitis, Diabetic Foot Pain (Dual Anchor size Small).I totally can't believe they worked so well! I'm on my feet all day without any pain. The swelling on the bottom on my foot has really gone down. I'm guessing it's because it relieves the pressure and it also allows that nerve to calm down.I would really like to find out if HappyFeet sells just the right side because that's all I need.Thank you happy feet!
