Has a rich smell and a more subtle taste than an alcohol extract, but the flavor is definitely there. If I were going to put it in coffee, I would put it in with the ground coffee, not the end product. I bought this to put in fat bombs once I figured out that the alcohol in the extract-type of vanilla was bothering my stomach. This has a pleasant smell and taste and it pairs well with cocoa powder - like all vanilla, it kicks up its partner flavors to make them richer. I believe I have found my new vanilla with this product. And there are no nasty alcohol carbs. If you want in-your-face vanilla flavor, you might have to use more of this than you would like; I like the more subtle taste.

This is an excellent replacement for whole vanilla beans. It's a tish bit expensive, but you only need 1/4 tsp to equal a whole bean so it'll last a very long time. Since it has no additives, you only taste the pure vanilla flavor, just like you do with a bean. It'll be using this in all my baking from now on. It's well worth the cost!Update: I've just ordered more. This bottle has lasted exactly two years without going stale or losing flavor. I use it on average 2-3 times a month.

I was hesitant to purchase this because of the mixed reviews, but I absolutely love it. The flavor is amazing and I've almost completely stopped using vanilla extract except for baked goods. I like to use this powder in my coffee - no sweetener required! Its also amazing in homemade whipped cream.

Have ordered this many times and use it regularly in baking or cooking items like vanilla cake, vanilla pudding, and ice cream where vanilla bean specks can be seen. The vanilla fragrance in the bottle is easily recognizable.I’ve always used pure vanilla extract in addition to these vanilla bean specks, so for the exponentially increasing price in the past few months, not sure how much added flavor or benefit for the price this delivers.Questions seen in photo attached were difficult to answer.This product is not thick or sheer in use. They are tiny, tiny free flowing specks from ground vanilla bean pods.

Delicious, flavorful, and AMAZING!!!! Absolutely luv this company. Great grind size, super fresh and no additives. Just wonderful vanilla beans. Blends well into any recipe. My go to vanilla beans and will continue to purchase and recommend to my Foodies.

Arrived on time and as advertised. I've never used vanilla powder before this purchase. We are using it with an elimination diet to identify food sensitivities; the alcohol in vanilla extract if not allowed. I've really enjoyed being able to add vanilla flavor! I definitely recommend vanilla bean prefer and this brand specifically.

Upon opening the bubble wrap package there was an overwhelming smell of what I could best describe as home air freshener (like a glade plug-in). The wrapping smelled, the bottle of vanilla smelled, and so did my room, it was so strong. This does not make me feel that this company is distributing their product in "food safe" environments, it felt more like they were distributing from someone's living room. Not professional. I opened the jar and the vanilla did not smell like perfume, however it was very light brown in color (light coffee roast-like) and not at all like other high quality darker ground vanilla I've purchased in the past. It also tastes very light, barely smells like vanilla, more like sweet and a bit tangy soil. Finally, there is no eligible return policy for this product. I regret having to write my first negative review, but this company needs to address these issues.

I am not sure what to make of it. I was excited not to have any additives to this product so i expected a brilliant find. I have added it to shakes and coffee and for the life of me i can’t taste the vanilla...i don’t use sugars or dairy so i don’t have anything that would mask the vanilla. I will add a lot more and see if that changes things. If it does, i will update my rating and comment.On the plus side, i love the fact that there is no sugar or alcohol.
