Girls Knee High Socks Gifts Cute Cotton Mid Calf Long Boot Socks Stocking Stuffers

Purchased for baby granddaughter, who is over the 100 percentile on the baby chart.
I bought these for my 2 year old granddaughter as thigh highs, bc these don't have a heel. I purchased them last winter and she is still using them this winter. She had little StayPuff marshmallow legs- so cute!. BC of the size of her legs I opted to purchase these over tights. Since her legs had more volume than most babies, tights were too tight and long. They even fit better now that her little baby legs are longer and thinner. They fit her right under her knees. The tops of the socks are a little open, as to not squish her legs. But at the same, time they are snug enough to not fall down.

Cute, but not perfect
I bought these for my 4 year old to wear with dresses. She currently wears a size 6 for reference and they fit enough to just stay up on her. Theyll be too big if your daughter is any smaller than mine. She really likes them and they're really cute, but as mentioned in other comments the toe seam isn't in the correct place. On some of the socks the toe is sewn sideways which makes the animals face on the side of the leg instead of the front. They are exact duplicates rather than opposites, so the face is on the inside of one leg and the outside of the other.Luckily, the 3 pair I was most excited about are sewn correctly (or at least close enough not to notice). We kept them bc my 4 year old doesn't mind that they're not perfect.

Crooked.
I always take other reviews with a grain of salt. Sometimes there are just as many good reviews as bad ones, which leads me to believe I’ll be one of the “lucky” customers (I don’t know why, bc I usually have crap luck). Sometimes the reviews say to size up or down, but the normal size was right. Or they say the quality is bad, but the one I got was great. Or they say it smells awful, but mine doesn’t smell at all. So all this adds up to I don’t really listen to the reviews — I jump for joy when they’re wrong & kick myself when they’re right. This is one of those times that I’m kicking myself. Really kicking myself, every time I see these socks. So they arrived quickly. They are omg so freaking cute. They feel nice, not even itchy where there’s some sparkly thread. The size is great (easily knee high on my daughter, without having to stretch them up). Seemed perfectly awesome — until I put them on.There’s one problem with almost every pair of socks — the animal faces do not line up properly. I’m not being nitpicky bc it’s a cm off or something small like that. There is no heel (to fit a wide range of sizes), but there IS a toe. So like any other sock, the toe has a seam that goes across the top of your foot; even without a heel there IS a right/wrong way to put these on. A lot of kids don’t like that toe seam bc it can be super irritating (shoot, I don’t even like that toe seam, so I don’t blame them). And herein lies the problem. Put the sock on so that the toe seam goes across the top of your foot, where it is supposed to be, and the animal face is now on the side of your leg. It would actually be ok if one face was on the left side & the other was on the right side — then it’d look like the faces were supposed to be on the sides instead of the front (mirrored instead of exact copies). But every crooked animal face goes toward the same side (my right, the wearers left). And they aren’t consistent either — one cat is half on the knee, half on the leg; the other cat is all the way on the leg almost on the calf.So if you put them on your toe correctly you just look stupid, like you don’t actually know how to put your socks on. If you put them on so that the animal face is under your knee (like the product pictures) then the toe seam is either under your foot partially or almost completely. I don’t know a lot of kids that are ok with walking on the toe seam, when most don’t even like the toe seam on the top of their foot!!My daughter is autistic, so she has sensory issues — you know, irritated by things like having a seam somewhere it shouldn’t be, or having to walk on a lump. She is also a very girlie girl & loves these socks. But she keeps messing with them bc she can’t quite figure out what’s wrong with them, though she knows that there IS *something* wrong with them. So she gets frustrated, turning & turning & turning, trying to make it fit how it is supposed while also looking like it’s supposed to. But they’re so cute she still wants to wear them.I wish I hadn’t opened the package in front of her so I could’ve returned them. Unfortunately I wasn’t thinking & let her see them before I noticed the problems. They all arrived folded so the animal face was centered & I didn’t notice the crooked toe seams — but once you fold them so the toe seam is straight it is very clear how messed up the faces are. Now I’m going to have to turn them all into leg warmers, so that she can still wear them at all. But that is time & extra materials/money I didn’t anticipate when purchasing these. But I never would’ve gotten them if I had known, which is prob why the seller isn’t making the defects known. ONE pair was sewn correctly (panda) — and it wasn’t even the animal she liked the most.Obviously the people sewing the faces on are not checking that the placement is correct. They shouldn’t be charging full price for these, bc they are “seconds” quality & should be marked down to reflect that. And it should be made clear to the buyer that they are flawed. Maybe some people are ok with the toe seam being anywhere, maybe some people are going to use them for another purpose besides on their feet, maybe I still would’ve gotten them to make leg warmers. But the seller should be advertising these correctly, so that people know what they are actually buying. The quality of an item really shouldn’t be something that surprises you either way — you should at least KNOW what you’re getting. 🤦🏻♀️

Shrink after one wash
Color stayed true but after one wash, it changed from a knee high to mid-calf socks. Kept it because my daughter loved all the animal faces.
