EXPENSIVE, nice and barley lasted 1 year!! I think it keeps the food fresher but not 100% certain. Easy to clean. Prefered these over our old yumbox bentos. I wish there was a leakproof lid for the silicone container that comes inside the bento. They fit a lot if you know how to pack in - however the bowls are quite shallow and easy for delicate fruits and veggies to get squished and bruised if not cut small enough to fit just so, when the lid is closed. Update OCT 2024. I expected more from a $90 metal bento box. Sadly after 1 year of gentle/normal ocasional use the hinge just popped off from the lunch box. Upon close inspection it doesn’t look like it was secured down strongly but just gently soldered together. I won’t be buying these lunch boxes again.

We have many different lunch boxes - the regular Bentgo, two different Yumboxes, and a 3sprouts lunchbox but I think this one is the best. It is very versatile and works for both sandwich type lunches, and more bento types. I really like the little silicone insert and wish I could buy more of that size and half the size separately. It is completely leakproof and has held up very well to my not so careful 7-year-old's handling. No scratches, stains, or dents after using it for the school year. I also find it easy to wash and dry. Lot's of the other lunchboxes tend to hold pockets of water but this one air dries easily. It's a bit heavy due to the stainless steal so keep that in mind depending on your child's age. It's also a larger size so maybe better for Grade 1 and up.

I purchased this lunchbox for my elementary-aged son to carry to school and camp. We were racking up a lot on Lunchables, and I wanted an alternative that provided waterproof compartments that was also 100% dishwasher safe. I discovered the silver Bentgo option, which according to reviews is completely dishwasher safe. We've had it for a few months now and it has gone through many wash cycles with minimal wear and tear. We live by the ocean and my son has attended some extreme summer camps with lots of water, salt, and sand, yet the Bentgo has stood up to all of these. I love that it's compact, so you can throw a reusable ice pouch into the lunch box with the Bentgo to keep perishable food fresh. I also love the silicone dish that can be placed inside the compartments for an additional divider. I've used it for BBQ sauce and there was zero leakage and it washed out 100% clean (no stains). Finally, I love that the Bentgo is stainless steel rather than plastic, which is what I was originally looking at. If there's any way to minimize the use of plastic for the sake of the environment, I'm all about it. I strongly recommend this product!

I’m so happy we found these lunch boxes as my children outgrew the smaller versions. They are the perfect size to fit a hearty lunch for older kids and teens (even adults)! I love that they are leak proof and slim enough to fit in a packed “high school” backpack. My kids love that they don’t have to worry about a bunch of containers. They are super versatile with the moveable silicone insert. Built to last and made very well. These are the only lunch kits that have lasted more than one school year ! Also, the customer service is incredible. We lost one of the silicone inserts and staff were kind, helpful and efficient when it came to getting a replacement. They sent one out with no questions asked and wouldn’t let me pay for it. We will definitely continue to purchase from Bentgo. Thank you for the wonderful products and service!
