Zelda - Six Hole Ceramic Ocarina Triforce Design, Sweet Potato Ocarina, Free Tutorial & Songbook

This was a gift for my 8 yr old daughter who didn’t have any prior knowledge of wind instruments. Both she and my 11 yr old son are die-hard fans of the Zelda video games. So, I figured even if she didn’t use it as an instrument, she would be able to role play for fun.Well, to my surprise the size and design of this ocarina is perfect for a beginner like her. My daughter was playing songs from the booklet included on day one, and every day since. I’m not saying she’s a prodigy – I’m saying the flexibility of this ocarina is such that anyone would be able to pick this up and play something forgiving to the ears. Parents rejoice!Not only that but that kind of positive reinforcement has kept her interested and she has developed an interest in more traditional type of wind instruments.The item itself is very well crafted; the color/glaze is beautiful, compact enough to comfortably hold in the hand and sound was well-tuned. We didn’t notice any manufacturing defects and (this is a preference) appreciate the fact that it’s not made out of plastic – makes for more of an authentic piece.Great purchase! My son wants one for his birthday now but in his case, I may get him a 12-hole version. :)

I purchased this as a gift for my son. He absolutely loves it. The quality of the ocarina itself is really great. The glazing was very even and the color pops. Not only that but it actually plays really well too. My son was able to pick it up and start learning how to play it immediately. I think the fact that it only has 6 holes makes it great for a beginner. It came with a easy to understand songbook and tutorial. It's small enough to put in his coat pocket. He took it to school and showed his band teacher who that it was really cool. This has to be one of the best gifts I've gotten him. Very Happy!

I ordered this for my younger sister who absolutely loves it. It's glass and is a little heavy which isn't a bad thing just shows that it's made great and it's not a cheap light plastic version! It is very small which she likes. My sister is 12 and it fits in one of her hands. The sound is great and it was pkgd well so it didn't break! Skip all the cheap ones and go for this great quality instrument!

I bought this to be my first Ocarina and this thing is great. The sound is great and I was playing songs and scales soon after opening the box. It took me a little bit to get the way the fingering works on this (I'm used to playing clarinet), but it is so fun and portable so I can go places and have fun playing with my friend. Plus the Zelda theme is a really nice touch, too.The sound is really nice coming from this Ocarina is great. It sounds warm and very full. It's also louder than what I expected coming from such a small instrument, but absolutely great.

As soon as i got this I busted out the song book that came with it and naturally went to the temple of time to play the song of time, but it sent me 7 years in the future! Someone please help me. Even though i was joking it is still a really cool instrument. I could play almost every song in the book that came with it within 20 minutes and it sounds beautiful. Although it's small I really don't find any problem with it. I also recommend ordering the zelda song book for 5 and 6 hole ocarinas if you want to play almost every zelda song ever written. Some people claim that it is actually a 5 hole ocarina but it clearly has 6 holes 4 on the top 2 on the bottom.

And it is an amazing instrument. It's beautiful to look at and so much fun to play. He's been playing it nonstop since he got it. The ocarina sounds beautiful, and the book that came with it is very informative with a lot of songs that are easily illustrated for you to learn how to play. It's everything that he wanted and so much more. I'd easily recommend this to anyone that is interested in learning to play an ocarina or just wants another beautifully made ocarina.The shipping on this was phenomenal. I got this for my best friend for his birthday. Unfortunately it does not work like it did in the video game... but it's still a really cool instrument, and my friend is getting really good at playing Song of Storms. I am kind of happy that it doesn't make it rain every time he plays.

It looked excellent and sounded lovely - then it broke on day 2 :(
