GREAT SUPPORT
BOUGHT THESE FOR MY DAUGHTER TO USE FOR SPORTS. THEY ARE PERFECT. THEY PREVENT HER ANKLE FROM ROLLING AND BECOMING INJURED.

The best volleyball brace
I have coached volleyball for 20+ years and I have had athletes use these for years, But I actually bought these for my daughter who is at the junior high age. In my opinion. These are the best for volleyball. They are easy on easy off and provide the most support while allowing good range of motion. I’ve had players who don’t like how they feel on the bottom of the foot but I just have them pull up the lining inside the shoe and put the brace under that lining and they don’t even know it’s there.

Breaks!!
I have purchased several of these ankle braces over the years. The last 2 that I have ordered have broken after a few months. Although they provide good protection, they are too costly for the short time we have been able to use them!

Great Product -- Physician Approved
I am a 32 year old male who plays basketball 3 times weekly -- my left ankle has taken on several sprains. Unfortunately, ankle sprains are cumulative, and I either had to find a solution for rolling my ankle or give up basketball. Even as a physician, I was extremely skeptical this would help, but at the urging of my orthopedic colleagues I decided to give it a try.First - as has been mentioned by others - the brace is INITIALLY uncomfortable. A lot of people are going to give up on this too early, which is really their loss (but a reason to ignore their negative comments). The brace requires some breaking in as it conforms to your personal ankle shape. For me, this took three different 1.5 hr sessions. Also, in order to achieve comfort earlier, I'd wear two pairs of socks and put the bottom of the brace UNDER the insole inside the shoe. The reason for my initial skepticism is that I play a point/shooting guard position in which ankle mobility is essential for good cutting and defense. I was certain that anything extra in the shoe or around the ankle that was capable of preventing rolling of the ankle would diminish my lateral movements and general mobility. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. The first few weeks I used it, I knew the brace was there and was cautious, but most of that was because I was still rehabbing from a previous injury. After several weeks, though, I don't really notice it's there and it has not caused me to lose any mobility. Finally, it does just as it advertises. If put on properly, it is pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to roll the ankle. The caveat is that it naturally loosens a little as you play, so I just retighten every 30 minutes or so to be safe.I strongly recommend this for basketball use if you are prone to ankle rolling/sprains. I'm thinking about getting one for my other ankle, despite the fact that it is rarely sprained.

Comfortable with good support
This brace was what my orthopedic doctor wanted me to have after a bad sprain and cracked fibula. The minute I put it on my ankle felt stronger and more protected. I can still move well flexing and extending but don't worry that my ankle will roll outwards or inwards - ways it is not supposed to. Fits in my shoes okay with some loosening of the laces. Highly recommend!

It is great, it's smaller than an air cast but you ...
So, I originally purchased it to use inside my roller skater, for roller derby but it doesn't have enough give. I am now using it for crossfit and all my off skates work outs. It is great, it's smaller than an air cast but you still have similar support.

Good ankle support but painful to wear
While these offer good ankle support they are not comfortable. The bottom rubs against the sole of your foot. The edges are very uncomfortable on the sole as well. There is no need for a hard bottom like this. It is unfortunate because the ankle part of the brace works well and makes the ankle feel secure. But these are unwearable especially if you are playing a sport with a lot of running and changing of direction. Which you probably are which is why you would be wearing these in the first place.
