Ok, I admit I’ve been on a Fern Michaels book reading compulsion for quite awhile- good books for waiting rooms everywhere, medical treatments, or just relaxing your brain at home- and I don’t often review because why should I? You know what you’re getting with her books- a story, mostly unbelievable unrelatable characters- but who cares - it’s just brain valium—. But THIS book moved along and then suddenly on page 271 the story is finished and it kinda, sorta wraps up by page273 - without really tying up the various dangling storylines and so read this to put your brain in neutral, but don’t get too invested in having satisfying conclusions. It serves a purpose for relaxing but leaves you feeling annoyed at the abrupt end.

Favorite author keeps you reading to the end. Her character and plot; you really won't want to put it down.

Oh My Goodness. Fern Michaels has done it again. This book was hard to put down. All the characters were intriguing. From the beginning this book grabs you and keeps you wondering what is really going on. I was trying to determine if Anna was neurotic or if she was being gas lighted. I have to admit that until the last few chapters I wasn't sure if Mandy was an opinionated friend or foe. I definitely did not like Ryan or his children. That family was way too dysfunctional. Thank God Anna finally listened to her and Mandy's instincts and ended the relationship. You can be a fool we it comes to your own well-being, but not when your child's life is threatened. Always follow your gut.

Enjoyed the storyline and how being in the spotlight can make you a easy target for crazy scary people to take advantage of you and those you love

I love Fern Michael's books and hadn't read on in a long long time. Since I really enjoyed this one and read it in a day recovering from surgery I am for sure going to read more of hers more often. She always weaves an interesting story with so many colorful characters.

A get away singles cruise leads Anna through some of the toughest times of her life. Her small fami!y was drug into the mess too.

This novel wasn't one of Fern Michaels' best, and I would have preferred a more developed ending, but I enjoyed the book.

As always an excellent job done by fern Michael. Quick read. Suspenseful and a great story. Love her work more and more.

Great Story

if the heroine didn't have any bad luck... Her life was terrible, then wonderful, then terrible, etc. Her described personality hardly meshed with her circumstances and it was difficult not to become impatient with her naivete. No depth to the characters. The plot gaps were frustrating and the ending pollyannaish. Very disappointing, for a costly read with no reward.
