ArtBin6892AG 2-Tray Art Supply Box, Portable Art & Craft Organizer with Lift-Up Trays, [1] Plastic Storage Case, Gray/Black

I have bought many ArtBin products over the last 20 years - always were my "go-to" as the quality was excellent. Noticeably in the last few years the thickness of their plastics has reduced on their boxes, their hinges are poor, and prone to breaking (these are the clear boxes I am referring to here). However this item sadly is no exception. The box itself is fine (though I wish the inner trays opened with the lid) but the hinges are dreadful. I've had this about 4 months now and in the last couple of weeks the lid has stated popping off the hinges regularly. Really annoying. ArtBin used to be a product that was worth paying a little extra for. No longer the case sadly.

I have tried to put my art supplies in, but as soon as you put the big lid back, then it pops out of the hinge and you have to repop it everytime you open/close it. The very small top compartment won't even close anymore now that I've opened it once- even with nothing inside. It just temporarily closes... then one second later pops back open.

Very frustrating. Every time I open it, the lid comes off.

For £25 I expected a sturdy durable product, but the hinges are so flimsy that every time I open the box the top just comes away from the bottom section. Then it takes ages trying to coax the two parts of the box together again. Very bad design and really needs to be re-thought and redesigned. Certainly not worth 25quid.

it looks more like a man tools, other than an "artisctic storage" for a lady... it looks much nicer from the pictures than the reality, a pity because it was a birthday gift and a very similar one I can find in a ironmongery for the half price...
